I'm glad that they have finally agreed on a contract. Our region needs these jobs, and the trickle down effect that their wages create. Union auto workers command pretty hefty salaries, but the work that they perform is vital to the public safety and national economy. Would you like to hurtle down the Thruway at 60 mph in a vehicle assembled by a $7/hr temp labor pool? Let's face it, not everyone can be an accountant, lawyer or doctor, but everyone is entitled to the opportunity to support their family. Do you think that the "professionals" are so vehemently anti-union because they had to pay 3 to 8 years worth of tuition to secure jobs that rival the salaries of auto workers? The real culprit in the rise of Automobile prices is the huge demand that China is putting on energy and raw materials supplies, causing tghese markets to spiral out of control.

You are going to need your 140K to survive. You are more than likely uneducated and therefore, unemployable.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Capricorn

You feel like overindulging yourself in some way today, and why not? Throw caution to the wind and eat your way through a big bar of chocolate, or have a retail therapy session that leaves you reeling from the amount of money you've spent. There's a definite chance you could get carried away and tell a whopper of a story that has little resemblance to what really happened. What on earth has got into you?
