your secret neighbor wrote: Unoin Schmonion. I can't belive union workers cry about not getting enough benefits even when they get paid $12 to $32hr plus benefits. When I worked at Winn-Dixie in Fort lauderdale, we told the union NO. In Texas Krogers is a union grocery store, people get little raises 10 cent 50 cent depending on seniority, not JOB PERFERMORANCE, Winn Dixie is not-union (or did not use to be). Someone like be can come in, work all the time, 3 different departments, be on call, put in 50 60 hours a week, and go from part time to full time with $1 raise in 3 months. Wait about the others that have been there 4 years? They don't want the responsibilty and don't want to work as hard or as many hours. UNIONS S_uck... You should pay by job, and availability, and work, not by how many years. Yes if 10 years you should get a decent raise, but QUIT crying if your making $20 hr + benefits, and they don't give you everything for free, If i made $22 a hr, I could pay for my own doctor with out helath insurance, big union babies. Also crying they don't get enough for free...that why all the jobs are in China now,,,cause United States workers & unions are too greddy, thats also why the illegal immigrants can work here and get paid $6 to $12 a hr under the table, becasue unions and all associate with them are too greedy. Go on strike for a job that I qualify for, and I'd take your job & keep it I wouldn't care if they only gave me $12 hours instead of your $22. So quit crying all the Union babies. After reading your very unintelligent post I understand why you don't make $22!!!

The look on your faces will get about 3 minutes of coverage and life will move on. The market will only pay 50% for the labor because that is the rate on a global level. Correct on all comments.

I see how the Unions support Democrats. The Socialists are always telling those who disagree to "shut up". Whether at University or the Union workplace. Liberal Fascism does really exist. Free exchange of Ideas is not on their agenda.

Let's not forget OUR CEO HAS MADE MILLIONS OF PROFIT IN his pocket and WE the workers put him where he is today! SO SHUT-UP AND go back to packing your grocerys. WIN-DIXIE....LMAOOOOOOOOO What business is it of yours or the Union to worry how much a CEO gets? That is between the people who OWN the company and the CEO. You only need to concern yourself with your own work. Don't like your compensation then start your own company or find another job. The money a company makes is the company's.

Your job is changing because of the economic realities of a global economy. Your job is not worth what it use to in that environment. High quality and quantity can be made overseas due to computers and robots. Your job is changing my friend and you have to change what you do for a living. Nothing is forever and your fathers job does not exist anymore. Just like buggy whips. There is no longer the need for American Manufacturing like we use to do. The price of Steel is high but you do not see domestic production today. The times are changing.

They have been on strike for 2 months, largely because of the tens of millions the CEO gets. You only wish you could have a vote on what goes on in your workplace. You anti-union sell-outs just can't stand seeing people stand up for themselves.

If the workers don't want the package AAM is offering then they are free to move on. It is a Progressive idea, Move ON... The company needs to continue their business and to do so will pull up stakes and move to an area where they can be productive and profitable. It is still not the workers business to worry about the Compensation package of the CEO.

They are not going to do either because it would end the company. They are going to have to make a deal. If the workers are concerned with what the CEO makes then it is their business. Your shortsightedness is the problem, not the CEO's pay. Cutting your pay isn't wrong, if the market won't support it, and it won't. You need to get a grasp on reality and the world of economics. You're probably one that bitches about the jobs going to Mexico or overseas, but can't figure out that they are doing the same work at a lower cost and that is what matters to consumers. And once again, cutting your pay by 50% is better than 100%, which is what it will be if you don't get a clue.

I do get to vote what happens in my workplace, I own it.
