Heh, you do realize that there is a $90,000 payout to the workers to accept this deal, right? That payout should be zero. In reality AA should have just fired everyone and hired new at the wage they really want to pay.

A 90,000 payout is totally different than a 5,000 signing bonus! 90,000 might look good on paper and to ALL you outsiders, but let me tell you, it's not all that much money to end up w/o a job! Tax that 90, and how long is that money going to last?
I get so fed-up with the many people that are so clueless to the buy-outs! The buy-outs are a real cheap way for the company to get rid of their employees that made that company what it is today! Keep in mind it was those employees that that made it possible for the greedy CEO's to make million$!!!

1.I was interested in lack of facts.Jap junk? Cheap? Better products at equal, higher and lower prices by any measure -I'd buy American but the quality, design, durability don't make it.Why should I pay higher prices so UAW or anyone makes more money? No one did that for me.
2. Non-union doesn't equate to poverty wages - by any stretch of fact. What union, at least in the auto industry, equates to is destruction of an American industry by people who negotiate to get paid for not working and auto company management not tough enough to fight for survival.DEtroit, union and management, have lived in lala land as they destroyed a great American tradition.Management and workers have accepted or taken pay for substandard performance for years and the piper is now being paid.
The issue isn't pro-union, or anti union, it is competitive pay and competent management and both are lacking.

All I have to sat to you is blah-blah-BLAH!!!!!!!
Ah, yes. I'm put in my place now. I posted with mathematics worked out and an analysis about how there is a very unfortunate arms race to the bottom and you respond with "blah-blah-BLAH!!!!! " Why didn't I think of that? Well, if you insist: Neener Neener Neener. I'm right and your wrong. That's final and no take backs. There, that should have brought it down to your level. ;-)

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aquarius

You won't like it if you feel your wings are being clipped today. You want to do something in particular, only to discover that someone is objecting to your plans or that circumstances beyond your control are standing in your way. Although your instincts tell you to throw a tantrum to get your point across, you must ask yourself what this will achieve, and whether it will actually be self-defeating.
