Largest US dealer: Expect auto shortages (2 p.m.)

Cars made by Japanese manufacturers, and even some from U.S. brands, will be in short supply at showrooms this spring and summer because of last month's earthquake and tsunami, the head of the largest U.S. dealership chain said Monday.

With a global economy, parts are made all over the place. Thing of note is that Toyota will not lay off any peoples unlike some others (union driven) will probably do.

Another thing. If all products were produced 100% in the good ole USA, only the wealthy could probably afford to buy. Prices are held down because of overseas labor costs which is something american labor union types don't comprehend. Greed, they understand! Economics they don't!!
