1 --- Just a few years ago, a dozen eggs cost about 99 cents. Now, they’re about $2.69. Just a few years ago, gasoline cost about $1.09/gallon. Now, it’s about $4.07/gallon. Bush/McCain-style Republicans have spent about $500 BILLION in Iraq and Afghanistan, destroying the value of the dollar, and RAISING THE COST OF EVERYTHING. They also prevented generic drugs from hitting the market and prevented Americans from getting less expensive prescription drugs from Canada. Overall, the Republicans aren’t doing so well lately. What could be wrong? Maybe... *$4.00+ for gasoline... * Two botched wars... * Giving our troops tanks without much armor... * Providing substandard treatment in VA hospitals... * Making the U.S. a country that’s known for TORTURING PEOPLE, then lying about it... * Doing NEARLY NOTHING ABOUT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION because they want their rich fat-cat contributors to have plenty of cheap labor available. Also, we can do without Bush/McCain-style fear-mongering that’s being pedaled as “experience” and failed war-mongering policies that have made Iran stronger. Oh, and they’re the party that preaches to us about morals. Then they get caught, for example, having sex in airport bathrooms. PEOPLE HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF DO-NOTHING REPUBLICANS! Bush WAITED ABOUT FOUR DAYS TO REACT TO HURRICANE KATRINA. On the day Katrina came ashore, where was Bush??? Bush was EATING CAKE with John McCain at a FUNDRAISING EVENT ( see the picture at http://www.newsweek.com/id/133551 ) ** Bush and McCain Republicans have become a NAUSEATING, BAD JOKE, ** and campaigning with a Republican Endorsement is like having a DEAD FISH ** HANGING FROM YOUR NECK. You presume that Mr. bush and his gang of lying neo-conservatives are "countrymen.' They are NOT. I am a loyal AMERICAN. Bush's primary allegance is to the Saudu Royal Family. The primary allegiance of the rest of the lying neo-conservatives is money. They adhere to their failed, twisted, hateful, un-American religion like mussels in their shells. They are unable to recognize the critical damage they have done to the USA. They, and their devil-worshipping allies, the "religious right" have preached hate, class-war, prejudice, divisiveness, and greed as virtues. These are not American virtues. These dogs are not my countrymen. When the political tide changes this January, there will be no need for 'finger-pointing.' |

Lies, ignorance, stupidity, relugious intollerance: I confess. I see my country sold to the highest bidder; generations of debts run up, and tens of thousands needlessly killed. I AM ANGRY. Why aren't you? |

Because anger for the sake of being angry is pointless. I don't like the way the world is running, but that is not going to prevent me from making my tiny plot in life a beautiful and nice place to be. Nobody can take that away from me. |

I agree with your sentiments, for you; but I was just a lad when Jack Kennedy told us all
"And so, my fellow americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man. " I still take that to heart. Live your life in your little corner. Live in peace. Don't confuse rightious anger with pointless rage. This is just for you: http://www.last.fm/music/Phil+Ochs/_/Outside+... |

If venting your outrage on the internet is working for you then so be it. I feel that the root of your frustration is spawned from the very real fact that you cannot fight nor change the current system. We are all a bit miffed that our voice is ignored by those who make the policies that affect our daily lives. It is not structured to cater to the individual, and that is frustrating. I learned a long time ago that trying to change the world is much like banging my head against a wall and I am the only one who will wind up hurt. Ignore it? Nah, just create an environment that appeals to you until you leave this hell hole. There is no shame in walking away and seeking happiness outside of the system. Try licking a window, it works for me. |

No, you were right the first time. I am angry at the fools who still support the crooked Bush adminidstration, and at the damage they are done. I also do a lot, civically and politically, so this is not just mindless venting, but thank you. I tried the window thing. but my tongue dragged. Is there a trick? |

In my case I have decided to support whoever is elected into office in order to prevent the feeling that I have been somehow personally screwed (it comes from both sides anyhow). As Americans we get too caught up in the race that is created by a two party system. As long as we follow the course that is laid out before us, we as a Nation will never reach the end of said race. Does it really matter who is in office? Personally I think not. Both parties will continue to live off the fat we earn and exist in a world without fear of want while we struggle to simply survive. To hell with them I refuse to see it as a two party system, it is one party and none of us will ever be invited. It truly is us against them yet they turn all of us against one another quite effectively every four years. I see it much like wrestling, they fight each other on camera and drink beers together at the bar when nobody is watching. BTW I loath wrestling. As far as window licking, who would have thought something so simple could be so difficult. Much like letting go. |
