off for a few wrote: I went through the other albertsons closing and they called mandatory store meeting for 2 days straight guess what I have a feeling thats whats going to happen Monday and Tuesday I am an SOA at a store in the DFW area, the meeting is just because we are getting rid of the prefferd card and going big on threes a crowd now by giving customers a dollar off their order if there is three people in line and someone isn't called down. Its actually a GOOD move, the meeting is just letting us know how the No card same great deals thing works (I had to help plan the meeting) so its All good, all associates have to go to the meeting because they are making a big deal about this, they are having them for two days so people can make it to each one. BTW the stores in Austin that where sold to HEB where Closed when Cerebus first took over, but they still owned the closed stores. Cerebus just sold some closed albertsons stores to HEB

The programs are going over very well in Colorado. The card being gone is good but 3's a crowd needs more labor put in schedules in order to be sucessful. It does work when you YELL '3's a crowd" on the intercom just to see front end managers that are hiding in office run out to actually check !!!!!!!!! Have fun.

heya, wait and see, i'm curious. do you still have ALBERTSONS private label? we are moving away from having the ALBERTSONS name on our packaging. to be fair, we are sharing a warehouse with another company. thanks

yes, we do have "albertsons" label , it is mainly on grocery items. We also have sav-on labels on some gm ( cold med.). Essensia products are discontinued .

People, don't post if you don't know what you are talking about...Texas doesn't SHARE a warehouse, Forth Worth warehouse was bought by AWG and is a for profit warehouse.....Albertsons label is not going away although they are redesigning them. Rumors in Dallas\Ft Worth are that Wm. Emmons will buy the remaining stores and run them privately.

the packaging is BEST CHOICE by AWG. A lot of the ALBERTSONS products are no longer in our order guide. thanks for the clarification, daisy. my mistake.
so daisy, do you have BEST CHOICE in your store? thanks

daisy, do you believe the rumors? i mean why would a healthy company sell off its distribution center? why would emmons want stores in the DFW that are considered to be "non-performing" stores? and these rumors, do they include keeping the ALBERTSONS name?

I'm not sure I would buy into the Wm Emmons rumors except that they came from someone very upper level and, if you think about it, we aren't acting like a company that is close to packing it in. Since it is definite that HEB is NOT coming to Dallas, who is going to buy the stores? As for the distribution center, alot of companys don't own dist. centers [i.e. Target]for grocery.
