wichita falls, tx albertson closing?

heard from a vendor that were being sold. he received his info from another grocery store owner.

thanks for the news from okc. i'm hearing UNITED SUPERMARKETS is the chain purchasing wichita falls albertsons. any more info would be appreciated, also some sort of timeline. thank you kindly

I heard that it was closing today at the warehouse. I hope united buys you out that would probably be better than Albertsons riight now at it looks bad for our side. Bill

I didn't heatr exactly when the stores are closing but probably won't be very long. They usually take about a month till they close but you can't ever tell about these people.

hey anybody still out there? i'm still wondering if there's any truth to united supermarkets buying the albertsons in wichita falls. any help would still be appreciated. thanks

Albertsons LLC is going to close or sell off all of the stores sooner or later. They bought these stores to sell them either to other grocery chains or close the stores and sell the real estate. They are closing the underperforming stores first. By leaving the stores with higher volume that makes it more attractive to potential buyers. But rest assured if they don't get offers from other grocery chains to buy them out they are just going to keep closing store and selling the properties. The N Cal Albertsons were sold to save mart. And some of the stores that were closed over the summer were sold to Ross. This is their plan for all of the stores that are left. Prior to the Save Mart buyout their were plans to close 25+ more stores in Nor Cal this is what they do.

thanks jack. this all makes more sense. especially since united purchased two brookshires, then closed these down 8 months later. then there were rumors of united buying albertsons before the llc. well now 11 stores are closing around us. so it isn't a stretch to see the llc selling to united. thanks again

albertsons LLC has announced the closure of 2 more stores in nothern california. One in Sonora and one in Orville. These stores are set to close Febuary 17th. Save Mart takes over the remaining 120 stores on febuary 24th

do you know if any stores in Pueblo Colorado are closing we only have one Albertsons off Highway 50 west and a grocery warehouse on prairie ave. Let us know if you hear anything, we have a manatory meeting coming soon. I wonder what the news is???

well, it appears united is not going to purchase alberstons here in wichita falls.
however the new rumor is being tied to krogers. rumors, rumors, huh?

I went through the other albertsons closing and they called mandatory store meeting for 2 days straight guess what I have a feeling thats whats going to happen Monday and Tuesday

well thanks for the heads up, off for a few. a friend of mine who has connections with someone at TARGET, told her that w falls albertsons had been sold to H.E.B.

so who knows, right?
