Columbus Police Searching for Northwest Serial Rapist

My daughter was walking home from work, when a man in a goldtone car with tinted windows started following her and honking the horn. She ran into the a store and when she came out several mins later he was still there, so she got a ride home from someone. Not sure if this is related but this happened in Hilliard near Roberts road at around 1:30-2:00pm on Tues 10/28/07.

You need to report this to the police.

so you know whats weird...i was leaving my apartment building saturday night and i live right by easton and there was a gold-tone saturn sitting outside with its windows up and music on. the car was running and the windows were so tinted i couldnt see anyone in it but i hurried up and got in my car and locked the doors. ive never seen that car before and ive lived there for months. that really scares me. should i call the police?

I'm a dancer at one of the local strip clubs in that area. I worked on all the nights that the events occurred; am I crazy in thinking I may know who it was?

No, who is it, you guys need to NOT take this lightly. If you take it lightly and don't act... you are only helping him by not stopping him or heightening awareness...

I am with Bob on not taking this lightly. I don't think some people inderstand how serious this is and how many girls are scarred for the rest of thier lives. I live in hilliard right behind where the first rape occured, and any girl in and around central ohio should have thier gaurd up at all times.

I hope you all can keep this going. In one of the reports , the rapist was wearing a black hat with white letters R+L Carriers is a trucking company , also the hat had Nascar 17 and R+L Racing , he may work for them , just a thought. It just seems wierd to have a hat like that , maybe I am way wrong.
I am a rape victim from many years ago, I am so saddened from all of this.
Hopefully he will be caught soon.

I wish i knew something.. I'm freaking out and i live with my boyfriend in Dublin.. he thinks i'm over reacting, but my mom lives in Hilliard and one of the rapes happened in the neighborhood so i'm scared for my mom and my little sisters they are there by themselves all the time with my mom. I also have to be at work at 5am and i get freaked out walking outside to my car that early in the morning with no one around it scares me. I supposed all we can do is wait and hope that he gets caught.. it will be a relief.

Amanda, You need to get some sort of defense weapon like; mace, stun gun or tazer, and worst case scenario get a little gun registered if you are really scared. Also contact your local police department, there are many free self-defense classes.. "Let's put a stop to him" We no that the hat has some significance but a person can get that kind of hat at any distributer...Dancer you do need to speak up, we need whatever information you have....We need to all pull together to stop this asshole...

I'm also a dancer and trust me, I've been keeping my eye out for anyone who fits the physical description of this guy. As I am a dancer, this makes me incredibly paranoid that he could be any one of a hundred guys who come into the club! I don't often see what cars the guys are driving, but I'll make sure I have staff keep an eye out for this saturn or this gold tone car, if indeed that car has anything to do with it.

Also, I often follow the sex offender website to see if perhaps any of those men ever come into the club and surprise, surprise...there is one I recognize who does. What's worse, he is a level 3 offender, which means he has a high chance of re-offending and escalating in his crimes.
While that is frightening enough, I know for a fact he does not fit the physical description of the serial rapist.

I am extremely terrified. I live in Dublin by myself. I usually spend about 2 nights alone in my apartment and on those nights, I don't sleep. I keep a knife next to my bed, my doors locked at all times, my phone in bed with me and I have a code word to text my friends if I have the chance and need help, and I also sleep facing my bedroom door. What else can I do to protect myself? I am loosing sleep over this on the nights that I am alone.

Well I know you dont know who I am .. but I think you should speak up about what you know. Since alot of us young women are scared from this weirdo. It makes sense that he spent time at the strip club around the time that he commited the crimes. Please Speak out for us.. THANKS

Hey all, I don't live in Ohio, I'm in Baltimore, but I work for a company that has been following this story very closely and mapping out where these crimes occur.
Not to scare anybody, but since this is the internet, there is a chance that Dancer is just some kid or prankster, or even the perp himself, who gets their kicks by posting things like this. While I hope this isn't true, and she does report what she knows, you've got to keep that in mind.
I know how scared you all are, we had the DC sniper some years ago that left us all terrified everyday, so know that you're in my thoughts and I hope this guy gets caught very soon. I absolutely suggest that anybody who has seen anything out of the ordinary, no matter how insignificant you may think it is, contact police. Purchasing mace, a knife, pepper spray, or even a stun gun is an excellent idea as well. It's a terrible thing to have to spend money on, but such is the world we live in.

well. i think you need to stop dancing. do not invite temptation.

just use wisdom people. young ladies you have no business going out after dark. that is a man's job to go out and provide for the family. the women aren,t suppose to be out like that inviting temptation, bringing unto themselves the wrong attention.

I also live close to Easton and on Monday or Tuesday I also saw a guy in a gold tinted car with very dark tinted windows lurking around my apartment complex. He stopped his car in the middle of the street as to watch me drive by. When I got to my apartment his car drove into the loop that I live in and back out. The way the loop is there is no reason to go back in it unless you are going to an apartment there. He did not. The reason I took notice of this guy is because in Nov. at night a guy in a gold car seemed to be setting outside of every store I came in and out of all night long. Ever since then I keep noticing a gold car around me off and on. I just thought I was over reacting until I read that others have seen this as well.
