Again, an example of no hope. It's sad. If this man wanted to leave this earth, why, why, why take innocent people with him. If you want out get out but let others have a life. This is sickening.

It is hard to wrap your mind around the fact that a love one will kill you, but reality is it happens everyday all around the world. We are a selfish and greddy people . The Bible tells us that people of your own household will kill you betray you. So its going to happen to you , me one day.

Sometimes the medications prescribed to people for depression and mental anguish put them over the edge. Pills are not always the answer.
And my condolences to their loved ones.

What a selfish act. Killing yourself is one thinf, but your wife and kid. That poor little boy had his entire life ahead of him. Mr. Eckard has even worst times to face now.

My sympathy to the family, it is so very sad and so needless. It seems to me that men and not women tend to kill the family and then kill themselves. I wonder why this is? And as far as the Bible goes, please don't go there. There was never a time in history BC or AD when mankind was void of sadness and violence.

This just breaks my heart to think that this man was in deep need of mental treatment, and that no one could see this happening. It's bad enough that he took he and his wifes life, But to take the life of his own son , I just can't even fathom the thought...

I'm tired of the Media saying someone was "loving and caring". This S.O.B. committed a selfish and murderous act by killing his wife and son. Please spare the publice of inane comments only intended to elicit sympathy for a person who commits such an evil act.

This is why mental health services are such a value to the community. It's too bad this man didn't recieve help. I hope is family can find closure and understanding. This would be hard to do.

Are we to believe that all of your deceased family members, neighbors and friends have died by being killed by someone in their household? Wow, that's very sad. Everyone in the world is going to get killed by a member of their household according to the bible? You actually believe that? Wow. I don't know anyone who was killed by a member of their household and I've lived pretty long, guess I'm an exception to the rule.

Apparently, the Dispatch's idea of a "loving father" and mine are very different!

The "loving and caring" description came from people interviewed for the story. It wasn't simply pulled out of thin air by The Dispatch, I'm sure. Apparently that's how at least some of those people who knew the man thought of him. I don't think that's an attempt to elicit sympathy. I think it's simply how people who knew this man described him and just goes to show not everyone who commits a heinous act looks like a monster. I'm sure if people would have described him as a horrible jerk that would have been stated in the story. Maybe it's more a commentary on how people don't like to speak ill of the dead, but probably the man simply came across as caring.

That's right Salvadore: more government can only help. YOU need mental health services: MORON!
But the guy was a hell of shot!
Where did he say government health services? A lot of them are privately owned. And even if any help received had a government origin, who cares as long as it might possibly save three lives? This is where ideology gets in the way of common sense.

I agree with Ralan. Love does not hurt you , love does not control you, for the media to say he was a loveing man is a joke.

You are right, this is not an English class. But when you write the way Jane wrote it greatly diminishes your credibility. I hope that's not too difficult to understand.
I agree. People don't take the time to take pride in how they express themselves via text message, email or online and it really takes away from the notion of any standard of communication whatsoever. And I don't take people seriously who don't take the time to check what they write...get a dictionary and an education people :)

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Pisces

Go carefully, Pisces, because you could be vulnerable to those who might want to mislead you in some way. Unfortunately, you'll also do a good job of misleading yourself if you turn a blind eye to difficult situations. By taking an escapist attitude to anything that seems like too much hard work, you make a rod for your own back under current aspects. Don't persist in this for too long or it will lead to trouble.
