nothing good ever happens on columbus streets ..... why was she out on street at 2:30 in morning anyway? thats just asking for trouble!

We often think we are careful and I will just run to the store and back. I tell my friends and family all the time someone is always watching you. I only pray they will listen to me. Not long ago a friend of mine was at a bus stop and a young person approrched him and ask for money he said he didn't have what he ask for in the corner of his eyes he saw 5 other young people coming. Quick thinking he walked up to someones porch and told them what was going on and they let him in and called the police. This has happend to me when I was younger and the feeling one I care not to feel again.

another one bites the dust,it makes me laugh that every day the news is the same.i just hope that some day these people wake up and grow up.where are the families of these poor people.they need help.please if anyone that reads this that has a family member thats on drugs ,do what ever you need to do to help them.when my daughter was 16 she did'nt beleive me when i told her if i caught her getting high that i would turn her into the police.guess what,when i found a pipe in her coat pocket the cops were at the house in 10 minutes.when they took her away i cried like a baby,my little girl in hand cuffs,but even though it hurt very much i may have saved her life.so if someone you know is on drugs help them,yes they may hate you at first,but in the long run they will love you for careing.

Too bad the gunshot victim was packing a gun herself, but we know the criminal who shot her was packing a gun too.

Lucky for us CCW users, we can usually shoot far better than the police and definitely better than the criminals.

I keep a twelve gauge close by at night, in the event of a night time home invasion I know all I have to do is be aiming in the right general direction the 00Buck will hit its mark..."Yeah Columbus Police, this idiot was stupid enough to break into my house, he's dead now. Unfortunately Mike if you do that you won't go to prison, but you might as well go because the scum bags family will take your house, your savings and all your future earnings because you pulled the trigger.

Why? Because criminals have all the rights and always win civil suit damages.

It has always floored me that a family can sue for civil damages if a member of their family gets kill while trying to commit a felony.

Man thats crazy why do everything has to happen on the eastside or westside can't we all just get along.

Question: Does everyone in Columbus, especially low-life people, have a gun? Where are all the weapons coming from? It's time the police start checking to see how criminals are getting their weapons. They are being bought at gun stores.

No they are being bought on the street for far less than what law-abiding citizens paid for them. They are stolen weapons from law-abiding citizens' homes. they are stolen property. The same gun I spend $600 on a criminal can get on the street for $200.

It's a simple fix though. Any crime where you use a gun to commit the crime; life in prison, no appeals, no plea downs, straight to jail. You commit a violent crime with a gun = Death penalty, no questions asked, no appeals, just straight to the chamber.

Anyone with a criminal background who has a fire arm and is caught = 25 year minimum no plea down.

Get tough and start enforcing the gun laws we have and maybe criminals will stop being so free with their illegal use of fire arms.

Also remove the ability of criminals families to file civil suits against law-abiding citizens who defend themselves with deadly force for home invasions. Many law-abiding citizens survive the criminal prosecution, but spend the rest of their lives in a financial prison because the criminal or their family wins a civil suit. Read the castle doctrine. It shields you from criminal prosecution, but civil suits are left unchecked.
