Has to be with pay. Otherwise it looks as if they are assuming he is guilty and just like a civilian it is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
BUT if he is found guilty he should get the maximum amount of time with no breaks. He should not be given any time off etc his sentence.

Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. However, I find it interesting that he was arrested by another agency and transported to a jail 2 counties away. And furthermore, no one told his sheriff (who has a tainted past himself) about the incident until after his arrest. Hmmm?

The “war on drugs” has been nothing more than a complete failure and has cost “we the people” hundred of billions of dollars annually. It has not stopped the marijuana trade from Mexico, or the violent Mexican drug cartels. In fact the US Boarder Patrol continues to state “violence along the border of the US and Mexico is at an all time high”. So I ask you why are we continuing to fight the “war on drugs” when it can not be curtailed or won?

Yep, but when it's time for her to provide testimony in court against someone he busted she's purer than the driven snow and a pillar of the community, right? You can't have it both ways.
