These two sound like your typical O.S.U. animals that want their kid to be the next Clarrett. Thugs! Get a life and realize that life consists of more than pigskin and buffalo wings.

This kid needs a serious beating. It says in the bible to respect your elders, and what kind of message are we sending to our future generations? That it is ok to goof off and not pay attention? These coaches deserve a medal and instead, they have to sit in jail with common criminals, who would probably not be in jail now, if their coaches and parents would have cared enough to teach them lessons like these two innocent coaches were doing!

This is just a six year old at a sports practice! Your are supposed to respect your elders as much as your age allows you to. By your count, a three year old having a temper tantrum should be beaten senseless for breaking the Ten Commandments. Christianity teaches us not to resort to violence, anyway. Plus, the authority that adults have over children is a sacred trust that comes with great responsibility. Making the child run a mile and dragging him is irresponsible and cruel, and breach of the most basic human bond: parent to child. Also, it was not the coaches, but the mother and her boyfriend who are in jail. I believe society sent the right message. If you have a child, you must be patient enough to deal with them. This means reasonable discipline, discipline that is geared towards teaching a lesson and stopping bad behavior. These parents showed the opposite of the virtue of patience. They lashed out against their child with violence on the spur of the moment. Dragging the kid by the helmet is not going to teach him any lesson. It will just terrorize him and teach him that violence is acceptable.

How do you expect us to teach our children that we need to defend ourselves against Muslims and Illegal Immigrants??? You are just another lib democrap trying to push peace and understanding of people who want to kill us! I applaud these parents as defenders of true American values! They are the real patriots, not stupid libs like you!

So you are in favor of liberal, expensive social workers raising children instead of parents? Sorry, but Tea Party Time is coming in November. The new Governor, Strickland, will eliminate the state income tax and clean out all the union state employees.

It's a career where an abusive childhood is a plus. Want to ride the football gravy train when your kids grow up, then raise a freaking monster.

The way I saw the play, the "father" should be sidelined for about 30 years. The "mother" should be shot.

The poor little kid probably doesn't want to play football. I wonder if they pull him by his shirt collar for not paying attention in class!
