Have they considered putting the casino IN Nationwide Arena? That would solve the problem.

Casino doesn't sound like a good substitute for hockey. Has anyone wondered if there will be betting on the Blue Jackets when the casino opens?? Maybe one has to go?

No sports betting allowed at Ohio casinos. The one in Columbus would sit one block away from Nationwide Arena. Actually right next to where the AAA Clippers play ball.

"Voters have said that they want this, so to me it's coming,"

The truth: More than 58% of Franklin County voters said "No, we don't want this!"

The result: Franklin County votes don't count; the almighty dollar wins and we all lose!

It's a statewide issue, not just Franklin County.

Crime will increase whether or not a casino is in Columbus. It happens when cities GROW. Columbus can't stay small forever, thank goodness. And people wonder why other cities get events, etc., that we don't....

Casinos in neighboring states have a staff of 800-900 people. That's maybe 4,000 casino jobs max in Ohio. Even if there are 16,000 construction jobs they will dry up once the casinos are built. Then the finger pointing will begin. The people who supported Issue 3 in Ohio are suckers.

I say this casino goes belly up after maybe two or three years. This City doesn't have the per capita income to support this. Nobody is going to come in from out of town because they already have casinos closer to them. The casino market is now saturated around here. If anyone is a sucker, it's the developers. The State doesn't care because they will get there money up front.
