Shocked! Just shocked! An elitist leftist doesn't want a proposal worded correcrtly? I wonder if she even read it. Oh, thats right the elected officials are to busy to read legislation. The paens will have to wait until it is passed to find out what it says. VOTE THEM OUT!

So we will see some poorly and confused wording from the clowns in Columbus Council in their attempt to deceive the public.
Open and full accountable government is necessary.
This is clearly an attempt to hide deals and hiring from the public.
Mike Coleman and City Council need to be in a glass house so we can see what they are doing.
Do not trust this move to keep the public from knowing what Council is doing.
Columbus is the new Detroit, Chicago and Cleveland.
Vote them all out.

Anyone interested in defeating this issue, go to www.keepcouncilopen.com or visit us on Facebook at No Secret Meetings. Council can not be allowed to dupe the public any longer.

I thought Brunner was supposed to be on our side.
This "more plain" wording is an obvious coverup concocted by Mke Mentel as an obvious disservice to the public at large.
The Democrats haven't told us what they are trying to hide, but when dealing with issues such as personnel matters, purchase of property, litigation, collective bargaining and security matters; it is obvious that cover-ups of agreements reached in secret are likely.
This amendment seems more than self-serving to me.
We've gotten along for many years without this loosening of this "Sunshine Law", why the sudden need to start hiding behind closed doors?
I wonder what else the City Council will do to try to ramrod the Section 8 amendment through? My hope is that the voters have long memories of this obnoxious attempt on Nov 2, and whenever Jennifer Bruner, Mike Mentel and City Hall Democrats wish to run for any election.

Given that most open sunshine laws restrict public bodies from meeting behind closed doors this wording would probably appear to restrict council rather than liberate it from these regulations. This is clearly deceitful, but I expect that from Brunner so I am not surprised.

Let's make sure so that we can vote against the Close Door Meetings that this Mayor wants.
Sounds like he is trying to like our President.
Vote NO against closed door meetings.
Does anyone agree with this?

Who does Brunner's decision surprise??? NO ONE.
The Democrats in Columbus have decide they now wield enough strength to muster a change in the way the business of OUR city is conducted. They feel empowered now to come forward with a better way of handling the affairs of our city, free from the ears of it's citizens.
Closed door council sessions, the business of our cith handled behind the closed doors of our City Hall. A City Hall that has become a bastion of liberal ideals, out of control spending and mis-managment of our government. Now comes the same crew of originally appointed council members to run our city behind closed doors. The very smae council who adopted a resolution to increase our income taxes to catch up with all the spending!
Now arrives the sales pitch to permit them to meet behind closed doors.
What, what possible business would the city have in shielding it's affairs to the public and thew news media??? the secret codes to our nuclear weapons, the placement of our Ohio National Guard, the money spent in some parts of the city but not others. Yes, I would imagine that is why they would want to spend a little time in a private office setting.
Shame, VOTE NO, No no!!!
Issue 12 has got to go!!!!

The people that support these politicians are clueless. This is along the lines of Pelosi saying you had to vote for the bill to see it. Will Columbus be the next Detroit ?

The worst verbiage I have ever experienced on a ballot proposal. This had to be written by a person with a warped sense of honesty....
