This story is so heartwarming and a little sad at the same time, I had such a big lump in my throat by the time I finished ( and a few tears in my eyes ).

Sean " God Bless and Thank You " and all the others that are and have served our Country to keep us safe from harm !!!! And to those who have not made it home to their families, we miss them, even though we never knew them.

Jake, thank you for doing something from your heart !! It's a wonderful thing you are doing !! Keep making those beautiful canes for our Soldiers !!

Many people go through life never meeting heros, heros for courage, determination, attitude, love and family. Sean, not only are you a hero but you have brought out the heroes in the family. We have had glimpes of these characteristics over the years, but we when had to circle the wagons, well the true depth and evidence of those traits began to flow like our own flags. I am so proud of you, of Sarah, of the boys, Laura and Ryan and Mom who we all know is the general.

Excellent article. Really appreciate the efforts of Jake and others who genuinely appreciate our troops and the sacrifices they make... and actually show their appreciation through acts such as Jake's.
I would LOVE to see a follow-up article on Sean Clifton. More information on his missions, his injuries, and his health update. Maybe even an article on his wife from her perpsective.... her quotes were very moving, and everyone can relate to a family perspective and appreciate a wife and mother's dedication to her family. Sean truly is an American hero and we thank he and his family for their sacrifices. What an inspirational family... we need more stories like this.

Wonderful article that brings the wars back home. I support the troops but surely want them all back home real soon. I don't see the war profiteers assisting the veterans in need, help always comes from the regular folks and their families. There are lots of vets that are homeless and need assistance also.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments and unwavering support. I, and my family, truly appreciate it. It's been a long road. One that will continue for a little longer. But with the support of my wife, my family, my friends & neighbors, and ODA9224 - my SF brothers that kept me alive on the objective, and continue to support me to this day - I will make it. I may not be put back together as God intended, but He figured out what had to go and what needed to stay and I'm ALIVE today to tell about it. If anyone has any questions/comments, feel free to contact me @ sean.clifton@us.army.mil

God bless you all - and Happy Veteran's Day!

SFC Sean Clifton, Bravo Co., 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group, Ohio Army National Guard.

WOW...what a great article!!...our family HERO!!
1. To Sean...Thank you for absolutely everything!! A simple Thank You really doesn't do it justice, but there are no words out there to use. I thank you for your military service, for your spirit, for your positive yet humble attitude, your extreme determination to conquer this, and everything else I can throw in!
2. To Sarah...Thank you for your dedication, devotion, and endurance over the past 6 months. This has been a tough road for you, and you've been one strong young lady!! You are a wonderful wife and mother!
3. To Sean's 'team'...Thank you for saving Sean's life that day!!...therefore allowing the doctors, surgeons, nurses, etc., to fix him up and give him back to us!
4. To Jake (the cane maker)...Thank you for using your talents and skills for such a wonderful ministry!
5. To Holly (the dispatch writer)...Thank you for such a wonderful article! Good job!

Thanks to all who have made such nice comments.

I intend to keep making canes for as long as I can
or there is no longer a need. It would be so very nice
if that would be today.

And to Sean may your healing from the latest surgery
be quick and complete.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Taurus

It's important that you leave yourself plenty of room to manouvres during the weeks ahead, as Mercury turns retro today, especially when it comes to making decisions and airing your opinions to the world. You need to be as flexible as possible right now, otherwise you could find that you've boxed yourself into a corner and have to do some serious back-tracking. You need to consider all points of view and not just your own.
