I hope the woman or man will not walk again at night, next time the dog may get shot-----would hate for that to happen due to a stupid owner....Stay home at night....walk your dog before dark.....

I am happy for this woman and her dog. The dog must of sensed that she was in trouble the minute she turned around. But I hope they find the robbers around here. If you need money that bad, get a job even if it is flipping bugers. If you do the crime you WILL get caught. God bless this woman and dog.

What BS. This is a free country. No reason we should be afraid to walk our own streets!!!! Not even the LEO's fault, they arrest the bad folks and the stupid judicial system sets em free in a week.

You obviously didn't take the time to look at the pictures or read the article before you commented
the victim was clearly a woman.

I used to live in that neighborhood and walked all the time and rode my bike. No personal, in your face robberies like this! It seems that a neighborhood watch is a good idea.

Or maybe she should get herself a pistol and a big 'ol can of bear spray and walk whenever and wherever she wants. That's what makes a neighborhood bad, when good people feel they have to be afraid to do what they have every right to do, whenever they want.

I had a husky for 13 yrs--he helped raise are cats from kittens--it all depends on how the dog is raised--they are very protective of their owners and robbers and people should think twice because they are one of the top bite reported breeds----and if he got the guy that bad I would be checking hospitals because it will be a good bite and need medical attention

My parents had a female husky who thought my children were her puppies. She was very protective of them until the day she died. Huskies are listed as an aggressive breed for their territorial nature. Males are less likely to protect than females but it was good that Connor protected his owner. Though it is a free country, there ARE some common sense things that one should do to avoid confrontation, such as not walking after dark when you're a female. In regards to the comment of whether or not the robber was a "brother", he must not have been because it has been my experience (and I have owned a husky as well) that "brothers" or "sisters" will walk across the street when they see a husky. If you've never seen a husky walk, their walk is more like that of a wolf, than any other breed of dog. It usually scares the bejezus out of "brothers". I'm glad that the woman was safe and had her dog with her, however, my advice is that if you are going to walk after dark, bring some mace or other weapon to protect yourself. A gun WILL stop a husky.

You are serious, right? People who are stupid enough to rob someone are stupid enough to rob someone with a large dog.
