Glad he's recovering. The road is made for transportation, not for play. A playground is made for play, not transportation. These parents need to be investigated for neglect. They neglected to care for their child properly and as a result he was hit by a car. Sentence: tie her tubes and snip his junk, and take the kid away.

People watch your kids. Glad the child is going to be ok. Only a dumba*s would let a 2 year old play in the street.

Very good question. I've raised my son alone (as a single parent) and maybe some would have called my overprotective at the time, I can gladly say my son has never been seriously hurt or had something like this happen.

I hope that poor child recovers and an investigation is started into why this child was not being supervised. If he was allowed to play in the street, it sounds like the state has a good case for neglect. If the toddler ran out after a ball or something..maybe not..kids are quick...I don't know but right now, the focus should be on prayers for the child...then go after those who failed this child.

I am glad the child is recovering, however, what is the deal with the parents? This child is 2 years old and he's in the street playing with a ball? Were the parents high or can they truly be this ignorant and neglectful? Either way, the child should be put in protective custody. Two years old and playing in the street, ridiculous. But, he's the one that had to pay the price for the ADULT'S stupidity.

Its not surprising in this generation of assholes and dummies that more children are hurt. Often times I see parents (or what ever you call them) walking on the sidewalks never holding their children's hands. These babies are often times the age of the child that was hit in the news report. How can you love your children and dont have the damn sense to see what in the hell a two year old is doing? I pray for the baby's recovery, but the parents must be investigated at all cost.

Here where I live, I see kids as young as 2 in the streets, alleys and I keep calling the police, I hate to snitch but its for the safety of the children.. Hopefully this kid will be ok and some charges against his parents should be brought up!! Its not the drivers fault.

my god the poor child why on earth would a 2 yr old be out side unsupervised at all for this to happen i pray for the child to recover and prey for the person that backed out of his driveway and struck the child there prob in shock just as well i know i would be people around here walk right out in front of you like they own the road they make crosswalks for that but anyways i say shame on the parents or the person who was taking care of the child i hope they get whats comming to them and the judge comes down hard on them dont smack them on the wrist and say bad mommy bad daddy like some have and let them off easy and if you drive you all know cars and trucks have blind spots or if the child was too close to the car you cant see them so dont blame the driver unless he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol or ment to do it then yes punish him i know when i drive down the road and see a child close to the road i slow way down even for these teens that walk the roads when there are sidewalks cause all it takes is one wrong step and its too late maybe a parked car close to the mans driveway blocked his view of the child or bushes or un mowed yards with 4 feet of grass growing next door there are many posabilitys but still number one blame goes to who ever was taking care of that child bless the child for a full recovery soon

You all are missing the point here....you should be praying for the child not bashing the parents. You all act like you cannot or have not ever made a mistake. A 2yr old child can go from one place to another in a hearbeat especially if they are after something they want. Quit judging unless you are perfect...which we all know cant be true because only Jesus fits that description.

Let us know when praying and not responsible parenting saves this child. Let me know when praying and not modern medicine saves thus child. I stopped having imaginary friends when I was a child.

Don't judge the parents at all but pray the child is going to be OK is what we should be doing. Whose child has not slipped by their watchful eye and gotten into a dangerous situation. I know mine have in a split second and when there are multiple children it is even more difficult to keep an eye on every one of them.

This was not a street or a road. It was Quinette court, a cul de sac. The child should not have been in the street but that doesn't excuse the driver for not looking behind the car. Witnesses said the driver didn't see the child. I believe that, it is hard to see something when you don't look.

There is plenty of blame to go around. What about the person that ran over the child? Anybody that gets in a car and backs it up anyplace, let alone in a residential area without first being sure that it is safe to do so is not too bright.

i have read all the comments in yeah to most that all sounds pretty good BUT thats societys problem now judging a book by the fucking cover.nobody actually knows what went on there was over 6 kids outside playing, playing in a neighborhood where there isnt a place to play.we can look at this as in accident which it was or neglect but neglect over a mistake?? nobodys perfect and god will not give anyone anything they cant handle!!! so bashing the parents of this child in this state is not the perfect idea. it does take a obama to figure that out. if it happened to any of yall would yall want prayers or a bunch of nobodys because its people you dont know telling you your a bad parent take your child??#imjustsayin lets worry about all the shootings, robbings, parents that dont take care of their kids, parents that alow their young men to sell drugs that killing our city, lets get on these parents that leave their kids and never return, the parent thats getting high in front of their child or even with their child. but i got to go check on my god son always prayingg for the best. this energy moves me thanks!!
