The speed limit on this portion of 104 is 55 MPH and traffic runs 70. When the limit changes from 65 to 55 as you head west, motorist ignore the drop.

This route is always dangerous. A lot of this comes from whatever jurisdiction sets the speed limit. From Rt. 33 to somewhere near Lockbourne Rd. the speed limit is 65. The for some reason and in a very unclear location, it drops to 55. This is a controlled access highway. There is absolutely no good reason for the change in speed limits. I can see dropping it half way between the High St. exit and the traffic light at Jackson Pike because of the need to start slowing down for the intersection. Also, try to go 55 when you do get in the slower zone. You will get tailgated, run over, cussed out, flipped off, etc from the driver's behind you. Then, there is always the idiot driver who gets on 104 either at 33 or straight off Refugee Rd and stays in the passing lane all the way to 71 and either drive right at 65 mph or even lower. This is the passing lane people..........move over to the right lane! And, come on City of Columbus or State of Ohio..........do something about the sudden and unnecessary drop in speed limit. This causes more accidents than speeding because people who try to obey the limit get passed on all sides by folks who stay at 65 or higher. They also make sudden and dangerous lane changes to get around. Somebody needs to study this and get it corrected!

I'm not sure why, maybe people heading to the dump off of Groveport, but oftentimes there will be objects along that section of 104. Tables, chairs, mattresses etc....

Well that's understandable but you'd think after 2-3 days one of the MANY cops that patrol this area would make a call and have it removed - before someone in the fast lane clips this thing and sends it flying over the wall and into oncoming traffic heading east?? The doughnut shops will still be open - take 5 mins of your day and get this removed! A little common sense please!

You can call 20 times to get an item removed from side of road but that does not mean ODOT will get to it. Records indicate that not one "citizen" whining here ever placed a call to anyone about that chair.

Why should we have to place a call? Isn't that your job - I can guarantee you that more than 50 cop cars have driven right by this thing in the last 4 days! They do so while on their way to the Jackson Pike jail - correct? Anyone here have ODOT's number on your contact list on your cell phone? Puh-leeeaase!

Chan think Marcus should note that deputy retired. It say so in his name. It not his job anymore. Maybe Marcus be a good citizen and not complain and point finger, just make the call.

My prayers do go out to him. However, GOD did give us a brain and he expects us to use it and LISTEN TO HIM and to OBEY the laws of those appointed over us. Those who don't end up like this guy so it might as well be SUICIDE.
