An offer of immediate seating at the Buckeye Hall of Fame Cafe does little to tempt drivers to give up their spot in homeward-bound traffic clogging Olentangy River Road because of Rt.

try living off of high street near cafe bella! construction noise and agitated drivers speeding through our neighborhoods and ignoring stop signs make it not so pleasant. can't count how many times i've almost been run over just trying to walk my dog around. the dust piling up on our cars and floating into our houses is an added bonus. we already deal with plasma center patrons during the day and bar patrons at night parking up our streets and dropping trash and making noise. i feel for the business owners in the area but it's not so pleasant for residents either!
this is silly

for years, people complained (and rightfully so) that the interstate highway system took cars off of commercial corridors and onto freeways. therefore, people were less likely to shop on broad, main, cleveland, high, parsons, etc. NOW you have a situation that drives a ton of traffic on to olentangy river road and the caption says, "Closed ramps and clogged streets make it tough for businesses struggling in a down economy to attract customers." are you serious? retailers thrive on high traffic counts. maybe these businesses need to focus on how to turn some of the people in those cars into customers.

I just drove through the construction on N High St. today for the first time in months. Although it has been a nightmare for all who live and do business nearby, I have to say that I was impressed on the progress. It really is going to improve the streetscape, and lets hope it brings a resurgence to the area later this year and next.

I don't understand why there was no alternative to closing such a long stretch of SR 315 for so many months, and if there absolutely was no alternative, why are there so few workers on the job? Wouldn't it have been possible to contract different sections out to several companies and complete it quicker? Maybe even do Phase 2 of the job this year.

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Scorpio

This is not the easiest day for concentrating on what needs to be done, whether tackling those Christmas cards and letters, writing out a list of jobs, or getting on with other urgent work. Mental activity seems to be blocked, as Mars is slowing and Mercury is under cosmic pressure. Take some time out for meditation, or reflection, and let your subconscious do the work.
