So thrilled to know a "leader" of a civic association is on the ball. And that officials are always discussing ways to improve our safety. Isn't The State just wonderful!!! All hail The State.

I'm very happy to know this particular crosswalk is being addressed. It's definitely dangerous for pedestrians. As a driver I have to watch for cars turning out of the street perpendicular to High Street, turning out of the library to the west, and turning out of the businesses to the east. Between being attentive to the busy and multi-directed traffic, and the view hindered by the cascade of leafy branches, it is definitely difficult to notice the pedestrians. It's nice to have that crosswalk but I'm surprised it was placed where it was to begin with. Especially perilous for pedestrians is a car turing right from the library because pedestrians may have entered the crosswalk by the time the driver checked for traffic on his or her left. Thank you, Dublin, for making our city safer, and thanks to our caring citizens for putting time and effort into our community.

The crosswalk is already marked. Why can't pedestrians be expected to use common sense and not step into the street when traffic is coming? Having the right of way and stepping in front of a moving car is stupid.

The crosswalk is an issue, but equally bothersome is trying to exit the library by automobile to travel north on Dublin Rd. At certain times, it is illegal to turn left there; at those hours, trying to exit any other way to go north on Dublin is next to impossible and dangerous. For everyone's safety, something needs to be done, and soon!

For a start, cut that tree down. I come across so many intersections during my driving around the greater Columbus area that have bushes and tree branches making it difficult to see if any cars are coming. People being able to walk and pull out into traffic are more important than a tree or a bush! A tree is a large plant, not a human being.

Dublin will need a traffic signal like the one Columbus installed on S. High near the old Victory's Restaurant/Bar. Just make sure the Dublin traffic engineers coordinate the timing with the one at Bridge St so traffic doesn't back up for miles.

OK...come on! A BIG sign that says Cross Walk. A BIG Flashing light that is triggered by pedestrians and PEOPLE in the street. This is "hard to see"? How about this, obey the traffic laws and yield to the pedestrians. I Pass through every day and see people waiting to cross with the light flashing. Why, because drivers do not stop! A study to find out why drivers do not exercise common sense...good luck!

The best and safest solution for pedestrians and drivers is to build a pedestrian bridge. It's that simple.

I think we should have a system of roundabouts to solve this.

Hey Dan you think like I do... the solution to all of the traffic problems in Dublin and Hilliard are all based on the roundabouts.... but don't forget the STOP signs.... good luck with this one... drivers are too busy talking on their cell or texting.... what's a pedestrian give or take a few.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Leo

The atmosphere is highly combustible today, with people getting in a stew over the smallest little thing. You will also have a tendency to get hot under the collar, especially if someone isn't doing things as quickly as you'd like. Try to stop yourself getting in a rage because once that happens it will be difficult to cool down again. Maybe you need some fresh air?
