This bill is just the first step in the plan of the gay community to get "more' rights that a normal white male - following the path that the black community has taken. If you think thats just predujicial, there's legislation trying to be passed that makes it "more" of a crime to kill a gay person than to kill a normal white male. If you think that doesn't work, consider the United Negro College Fund. Don't get me wrong, I'm for helping every one to further their education. But consider this : What would happen if I (we) started a 'poor white boy' college fund ? What would happen ? We'd be sued for discrimination from hundreds of different angles. Yet, its OK if you're black. And now the gays are turning in that same direction, so that some day they too will enjoy "more"
rights than I (a normal white male) is entitled to.

Wow...didn't know there was such a thing as a "normal" white male. What exactly do you mean by that term?
Secondly,if someone started a "poor white boy" college, then I guess more would become educated...Interested in attending?

Please get a grip. Find a "normal" mental health professional...soon!

back in the 60's it was conidered"special rights" to grant full voting rights to blacks.it was considered "special rights" to integrate the schools.it seems silly to us today that a legislature had to do that but they did.30 years from now it will seem silly that legislatures had to pass laws to make people treat gays the same as everyone else.this bill adds gays to discrimination laws.why should you be allowed to fire someone because they are gay?as long as they do the job what difference does it make what they do at home?

you're right.there are laws about age discrimination, sex discrimination, racial discrimination.why is it that laws have to name groups? why not just pass a law saying if someone does their job properly you can't fire them?or that you can't refuse to rent to them for no reason other thn your prejudice or bigotry?

Why should you have to hire someone you don't want to?

a 'normal' male is a heterosexual male.

an 'ABNORMAL' male is a homosexual male.

the 'abnormal' male is the one who needs psychiatric help.

just because liberals want to FORCE people to accept ABNORMALITY, they have taken up the mantle of homosexual 'rights'.

liberals will NEVER legislate my thoughts.

You aren't making a bit of sense. These types of laws apply to white hetersexual men as well. If someone evicts a heterosexual white male, simply because he isn't gay, he will be just as protected as a gay person evicted simply because they ARE gay.

Equal protections--no "special right".

As to hate crime laws, don't you realize that they apply equally to ALL races and orientations? It is not a greater crime for a white man to kill a black man. Stiffer sentances can be placed if ANYONE kills another with the intent of sending a message of hate and terror to another entire group.

If a black man kills you simply because you are white, be would be charged with a "hate crime". It happens, and will happen. Check the stats.

Why don't folks like you ever educate yourselves about the facts before speaking.

That's foolish, and the entire mainstream medical community disagrees with your foolish ideas.

Please explain, in detail, how ALL heterosexual men can be called "normal". Are you including rapists, murderers, the insane, and pedophiles? How about bigots, since bigotry is based on the irrational fear of those who are different from yourself?

Is irrationality normal?

Show me a case where a Black man was charged with a hate crime against a white man .

This was signed into law for benefit of the Obamastration Funny how everyone in it is either Black,Jewish or a homosexual.
Now what any speech against them will be a hate crime.

Wow, there's just too much wrong here. I suppose you made a conscious CHOICE to be heterosexual then? I believe the rest of us here know who truly needs (and likely won't seek) psychiatric help.

This is a great bill but once again written incorrectly.

It should be a MYOB bill for sexual freedom. It used to be your landlord could kick you out on the street for un-wed sex or adultery.

We need sexual freedom parades not gay pride parades. Because in the eyes of some religious zealots any sex without marriage is a sin. Any sex with birth control is a sin.

Get of your homophobic horse and stop choosing which sins you want god to through your neighbor into the lake of fire for committing. Live your own life and let other live theirs.

Because employment impacts interstate commerce.

Also, for corporations, the managers are not the owners, and have the sole responsibility to exercise sound fiduciary obligation to the share holders, which means hiring the best people.

If a manager says "I won't hire Gay people", then he/she is harming the shareholders.

Tell me what rights gays will get from this? This bill allows for gays to NOT BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST at work. Meaning I could currently be fired because I'm gay. It isn't in our discrimination laws yet.

So I once again ask, what rights are we being afforded that everyone else isn't afforded.

Why can some republicans be so closed minded, while others actually think of the future of all citizens?

There is where your wrong! You hire who is the best for the job not who must be hired due to their skin color, sexual preference or religion.
Therefore Govt. hurts the shareholders.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Taurus

Make a big effort to spend time with people you didn't see on Christmas Day, especially if they're older than you or are having a bad time at the moment. You're brimming over with compassion and empathy, which will be really appreciated by anyone who's on the receiving end of them. You're also in the mood to make allowances for people, and that will help enormously.
