Who is going to be there and what are they going to do that requires all this expense to the public. Maybe the public wouldn't want the development they have planned or the activities they intend for the property served by the publically funded interchanges. If you have such insight; why don't you tell us what ORC code you are sighting, and if that is valid, what their plan is. Unless you are not being honest with us.

Before we get anymore interchanges, they need to first get I-71 to 3 lanes N and S through Morrow County. ODOT felt that there wasn't enough traffic to justify the 3rd lane when they did the widening in Delaware and Richland Counties. Where did they think all the traffic was going to go? So, now you have a bottleneck north bound at Morrow/ Delaware County line every evening at rush hour. I don't travel from north of Morrow County so I don't know if the same thing happens at Richland/ Morrow County line but I do hear about alot of accidents up there.

Even if this is not a codified requirement, as a Delaware County resident, don't you think the public has a right to know what the developers' plans are for this interchange?

John, your question has a place...but not in reference to the person I was responding to. His bold claims were legal in nature. And if it is just a bullshit lie, he needs to be called on it. I only know of the developer at Kroger, and the developer at northstar chipping in on the interchange work. Both of them have already made their plan and have started work. Their plans are already open and obvious.

Betcha Taxin Tommy wouldn't blink a bleary drunken eye at voting taxpayer money for this interchange. What's in it 4 him?

Youi have stated twice that the developers are paying for a good chunk, or most of the costs, where do you get this information from?

So you've never had to hit the brakes trying to exit 71N at 36-37? It's hazardous as hell and someone's going to get killed there soon. I say infrastructure development paid for by developers is a good thing. What the h@ll are some of you naysayers thinking?

Don't know much about where the interchange is being proposed, but I agree that St Rt 36/37 interchange is ridiculous and needs attention deperately. If introducing a new interchange helps take some of the load from there it is worth looking at. Even as far north as St Rt 61 interchange still feels the heavy commuter traffic at rush hour every morning and evening

"In the meantime, Delaware County officials are studying the economic potential in the region, particularly around Sunbury.
“It’s sort of the next big hurrah for economic development in Delaware County,” said Gus Comstock, county economic-development coordinator."
A medical center maybe or light manufacturing or high tech businesses would be a nice addition but not retail crap resembling Rt. 3 and Maxtown roads. No thanks!! We also do not want more ugly Dominion housing developments. Our schools are unaffordable as it is in the BW school district.

Cheshire Road is the only road that crosses Alum Creek Reservoir from I-71. If you know of another one, tell us, otherwise , shut up. 36/37 also crosses but they already have an interchange.

There are other roads that they could put an exit at, Dustin, Plumb, Jacox, and Big Walnut but I dont see where they go anywhere. Putting the exit at Cheshire is probably going to require that the bridge over Alum Creet Lake be replaced also, is this cost included in the estimate given, or is just going to cost the taxpayers more? In any case I think everyone would agree that another exit is needed. The sooner the better.

Big Walnut Road would probably be a better choice but would also require updating.

How about if they put one at Big Walnut Road and route northbound traffic up Africa Road? That way they could put a White Castle and a Sister's Chicken by the dam.
