I voted AGAINST this levy and I think this story puts it in perspective - there won't be any jobs and there won't be any profit for Ohio - only for the casino developers. WOW! What a surprise - not.

I can only hope that people will look a little farther down the road regarding casinos in Ohio These casinos and gambling venus will bring much needed employment to many Ohioans out of work, not to mention Ohioans can now stay home and put those monies into Ohios' pocket. For years, people have traveled to other states across America. Millions have been lost to other states for too many years. It's time to bring it home.

But, I saw an ad that no jobs would be created, so it must be true. I heard someone say that crime will be attracted to any casino so that must be true as well. I want to limit how other people spend their disposable income. I want to prevent people from doing something that is legal in most states because I don't like to gamble. I also do not like broccoli so I will be spending all of my time and effort to make sure no one else will be able to eat it either!!!! Muahahahahaha!!!!! Look out, I am coming to control your life!!!

The casinos will be the leech on the side of ohio for years to come, getting fatter and richer, but never dropping off. Such a pity.

Maybe they're being cautious about any projected income because wackos like you will stop at nothing to prevent Ohio adults from making their own choice on how to spend their disposable income.

Whiners will whine and winners will rejoice. Nov. 4th has come and gone and it passed. All I know is that i wont have to drive across the state line anymore and I dont care who or what anyone has to say about it. For me and my group the vote is over and WE Won. Say what you want, we dont care.....you may begin now.

To all you whiners - This was never about creating jobs !! Its all about revenue !! I didn't know Ohioans were sitting around waiting for a jobs at a casino !!! It just cracks me up that everyone is so morally concerned about everyone else's pocket book...

'wackos' MIGHT JUST have been equally concerned about the never before heard-of sweetheart deal these leeches wrote for themselves,
the 'behind the scenes' money, and silent partner that the promoters outright LIED about-?
Any of this making a dent?
I'd go on, but it's moot.

but please, all- do enjoy the rush you get from losing YOUR money.
God bless- go crazy.

Thanks, but I've been going "crazy" for years now. I'm not sure if you're aware of this.... But while I cannot drive a few miles and gamble, I can do it without getting out of my chair. There is gambling on the internet!! I play poker and sports bet frequently online. That money is just going to an off shore company. I keep peeking out my window but the criminals and prostitutes haven't set up shop out by my mailbox. I've never been late on a mortgage payment and horns haven't grown out of my skull!!!

I'm fully aware of it.
Knock yourself out, and whether I PERSONALLY think that makes you a sucker, or not, it has nothing to do with morality- I have no concern as to what you choose to do-It affects me not.
I really did mean that; God bless you, go crazy.

the point is, those who want to paint ANYONE who opposed this mess as forcing some sort of religious oppression against the 'sin' of gambling, or that they all want to 'deny you freedom', keep you from doing what you like, are simply wrong.

'if you disagree with my choices, I label you, and write off any further legitimate debate'-
what was it-'wackos'-? That's lazy, convenient, and disingenuous.

There ARE legitimate objections to how this thing went down, who's getting good on it- who lied to us to GET there, etcetera- that have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with 'passing judgment' on those who choose to gamble, the 'evils' of gambling, concerns about the crime it MAY draw.
That's a SMALL but (unfortunately)vocal portion of the opposition,'the fringe' ALWAYS make the most noise.
God bless them too, they'll surely need it.

for MOST of us, NO- It's that we recognize that we got sold a loser.
Shame on us all, for THAT.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Sagittarius

Once again, your nerves are getting the better of you. There will be some fraught moments unless you can control your temper and not get drawn into verbal fisticuffs at the drop of a paper hat. It won't help if a partner is feeling neglected as that will give you something else to worry about. You need to relax and start enjoying yourself!
