He certainly didn't get the sentence he deserved. Someone who abuses animals will, next time, abuse people or find some way to shoot someone.

Those in prosecution and law enforcement should be held responsible when this slime hurts a child, other animals, a family. Too bad we heard nothing of jailhouse justice. Thought at least we could see some form of pay back to a worthless scum.

I agree someone that would hurt an animal should well it wouldn't be good. I have a real soft spot for children and animals.They should be protected at all cost not put on probation.

While I may not know all the facts to this story (and you probably don't either - only the side that was reported), the production of animals for food consumption is needed, wanted, and generally humane.

For instance, that late night TV commercial about treatment of animals showing a cow getting lifted by a forklift... let me ask you, if a cow broke a leg or had a heart attack and died, how would you move them?

Give me a break... food production is what it is.

Sorry Amazed but you probably should have read the other articles before commenting- this guy is disgusting. To quote the previous article in regards to the video that had been shot-

"The video shows workers holding newborn calves down and stomping on their heads.
It also shows one worker wiring a cow's nose to a metal bar near the ground and repeatedly beating it with a bar while it bleeds."

There was also footage of him breaking the tails on cows- it was horrific. Ohio's animal cruelty laws are a joke and it really makes me sad. I come from a long line of farmers who raise cows and other livestock and they would NEVER treat their animals this way.

Typical small town sentence. This idiot abuses animals for sport and attention. That's not food production but a future psycho in production. But can anyone really be surprised? The fix was in when the owner of the dairy farm got NOTHING and please don't say Conklin didn't know. These small town corrupt officials hopefully will never learn face to face what a psycho like this is capable of. Congrats to the crooked cops, wussy prosecutor and the politicians on the take. Just another waste of the tax payers money. But is anyone really in shock at the outcome?
