The Happy Family is known to be a nice, peaceful place to go socialize and have a few drinks. I guess a few really bad people can change things very quickly. Like the last time, let's hope they catch the shooter and bring him to justice.

THE KNOTTY PINE BAR ON PARKWOOD AVE HAS HAD (6) SHOOTINGS AND ( 5 ) DIED IN ( 4 ) YEARS AND THEY HAVEN'T CLOSED IT YET. HOW CAN YOU FINGER A CLUB THAT HAS HAD ( 2 ) IN A YEAR?.

I'm not associated with Happy Family or a customer, but I know the bar pretty well.
The Happy Family is a clean bar. There's nothing illegal going on with the operation there. Like any business that serves the public, the bar can't always control what customers do, even inside the bar. Outside of searching or installing a metal dector at the entrance, you can't prevent someone from coming in and pulling a gun. This bar is know for having a long peaceful history, except for these two shootings. In both cases, it wasn't the owners or regular customers involved.

Concealed Carry holders are not allowed to go into a bar with their weapons,at least not yet! I am sure that the anti-gun people and city council will want to ban the law abiding citizens from having a weapon. Mayors Aganist Illegal Guns,will have a say about that,and Mayor Coleman is a member of that group. The criminals don't obey the laws and this is a good example. If you don't carry a weapon for self defence you will likely get shot at some of these bars.
