mayor coalman is leading off the celebration in true progressive fascion: an indictment of Christopher Columbus' impact on native peoples and a sh^t sandwich buffet for all of his parasite class pals. he's hoping to get a simulcast with obama for a massive public defecation ceremony at his new open sewer and public toilet.

They're still the best thing to happen to the area in the past 20 years. No Jackets = no Arena District. That alone was a huge deal for the city.

They're not going anywhere. The deal has them here until at least 2039.

I know the deal, but with being losers no way they will be here 27 more crap season. It is like a store, if people don't shop they can not keep buying products no comes for even with free rent

The NHL is working quietly behind the scenes to "fix" the issue. Craig Patrick didn't sign on just because McConnell picked up the phone. Have you noticed the improvement of Phoenix? That wasn't done without "input."
The awarding of the All Star Weekend to Columbus is proof that the league is working to make the franchise succeed.

Furthermore, what once made Columbus great is no longer here.

Really? How many of their players or coaches have ever been involved in scandal or made the arrest reports? I seem to recall another team in these parts about two miles up High St from the arena that manages that every year.

Like what? An abandoned prison? A gaudy Chinese restaurant? Woody Hayes? City Center? The abandoned Central High? The Short North Posse?
This city was never "great" and never will be as long as the cowtown mentality remains.

You just had to bring up The Ohio State University football program. I can hardly wait untill that skank the tv reporters keep interviewing gets bust for trading her ass for cocaine or something.

It was a much better as a "Cowtown". It had a sense of community ,more centralized. Now it is too large, too much suburbia. Nobody wakes up in the morning and says "let's go to Columbus, Ohio."
As for the Buckeyes, I am not much of a fan, but at least they can win a game.

Perfect example of "cowtownism;" when people who live here say "Ohio" after the name of the city. For crying out loud, it's the 15th largest city in America and has 800,000 people.

I could've sworn we "were" 13th, but all this is considered in population, right?
