Another public official that does not believe in the rule of law. He does not deserve to be in office. Probably never read the law.

Come on now, What part of illegal does Coleman not understand. As mayor of one of the greatest cities in our nation one would think he could understand what that word means. Do not confuse the issue. I'm not aganist immigration, legal immigration. This bill has nothing to do with immigration. If some one is illegal, then they are. Goes along the same lines as "some what pregnent".

I'm sure Arizona is concerned that no Columbus city worker will be traveling to thier state.

How stupid. This is "not the American Way"?? This law is only enforcing and backing up what is FEDERAL LAW. There is nothing racist about it. I had heard the new Arizona law read verbatim on the radio earlier today, and in fact, the law repeatedly states that it shall be enforced without regard to race, color, creed or national origin. How would that be racist? If there is anything misguided here, it is the people and politicians who would rather let all of the illegal immigrants stream over the border undeterred rather than try to solve the problem. And, one more note: Every other country (including Mexico) has very strict illegal immigration laws, which, if violated, result in YEARS in prison. That is worse than any law that the US has, but we are expected to not enforce our laws.

Does that mean none of Mayor Clownman's people can go to Phoenix to study their light rail system first hand?

Absolutely a ridiculous response. Whatever happened to respectfully disagreeing with someone's position? What if another mayor banned travel to a state allowing same-sex marriages or another mayor or governor banning state-funded travel to Ohio because we don't allow same-sex marriages?

It's government by knee-jerk fiat in Columbus. Glad I don't live or work in the city any longer.

Mayor Coleman:
Your response to the Az law is silly and counterproductive. We'll probably go to Az for an unplanned vacation to get away from nuts like you. Ask Obama how helpful sanctions have been on Iran. Just be thankful Ohio is not closer to the terrible drugs coming to Az and the illegals who came in violation of federal law the Pres won't enforce. Such justice fans flames of racism, statism and pandering to get votes.
Buzz on down to Az and see first-hand why the Governor did this. And maybe you need to read the law first?

Coleman, just take of business here, heck, your staff probably only goes to Arizona in the winter anyway.

Stay out of Arizona politics and manage your own business.

I agree with the Arizona law 100%
I think we should pass the same kind of law here instead of boycotting a state that has the right idea!
The Mayor is not acting in my best interest and just lost my vote.
I mean, How you defend something called "ILLEGAL immigration" - Why do you think it's called ILLEGAL?
And another thing - all the illegals in Arizona who now realize the free meal is over are going to go to other states who are soft on ILLEGAL immigration.
Way to turn a blind eye Coleman. You are on your way out of office. You disgust me.

Obviously the mayor joins a growing faction of those too ignorant to READ and interpret the law properly. Typical liberal knee-jerk reaction. And, of course, too gutless and spineless to have the strength of conviction to enforce an outright ban when it "costs" something (i.e. revenue from the red-light cameras!

Ban Coleman. He is clearly acting against the wishes of the overwhelming majority of Americans, who support Arizona's stand to enforce the law. Coleman has no right to subvert the city's taxpayer funded local government to the cause of enabling lawbreakers. Boycott Coleman and his pack of traitors. The man is evil.

We support Arizona! Plan for your next vacation to be in Arizona. Write to them and request a brochure about their beautiful state.

Coleman is a complete jerk. Must not have been given a free trip. He was the one that went to the Buckeye's game and did not pay his way. He is the biggest free loader there is. No wonder Columbus is the biggest joke in the country.

Ban travel? Do this morons read these laws? Police are already allowed under Federal law to check legal immigrants papers.
Which explains why the "reasonable suspicion" standard of the law is being challenged in federal court as unconstitutionally vague? Have you read the law? Can you explain how it works? Can you explain in coherent terms how the law is not subject to constitutional challenge?

Just like so many other mayors and governors across the nation, Coleman has to make a hypocritical show of being politically correct. Easy for Ohio to say the law is wrong. We are not on the front lines for the illegal immigration problem. And like other politicians, he has no good solutions to help Arizona or other border states to better deal with the problem either. Morons!

Unbelievable this is..... we are a nation of laws. Illegal immigrants are criminals folks!!!!!!!!!!
I have spoke with MANY people of other nationalities and they are just fine with the presentation of ID....... why make whats already ON THE BOOKS an issue? This is INSANE. These kind of people need VOTED OUT. We need to focus on what the majority of the population WANTS, not the few in the minority that are always crying about something they don't like. How come the few always have to be the ones who spoil it for the majority? I don't get it.

Coleman you are weak! How many other illegal activies do you plan on protecting besides illegal entry into our borders! Arizona will be fine due to millions they will save on social programs. If leaders around the country, such as Coleman, can't even vaguley understand what the issues are in Arizona, it makes me question if they understand issues in their own districts,

After calling my friend an hour ago about our great mayors action today, he said GOOD! My friend builds golf courses based in Scottsdale, and his local contacts tell him that since some in our society started doing the "Feel Good Boycots" a couple of weeks ago, bookings for conferences, resorts, and golf courses are UP! And this is the beginning of their off season.
I can only conclude that our mayor had his pink wig from Saturday on too tight!

You need a little light relief at the moment and one of the best ways to find it today is to get together with someone who always makes you laugh. You might even want to tell them what's going on in your life at the moment so you can get their perspective on it. This will help to keep your feet on the ground and then you won't feel quite so miserable or beset by problems.
