Electric car-driving liberal freaks do not understand that coal-fired power plants produce electricity.

They incorrectly claim their vehicle produces NO pollution.

They are too stupid to realize their car is really powered by coal.

What utter B.S. Blinded by false science. Would you rather kill a bunch more soldiers or Middle Easterners or create more environmental disasters like the Gulf leak to get your oil so you can burn that? How about building some more nuclear plants in your neighborhood?

Envirofreaks only want to transform the world into a single socialist government with no persons better off than anyone else. I'm happy to be in the best country on earth, and I see no reason to bankrupt it in order to be 'equal' with third world slaughterhouses like Mexico

how about using solar power, wind mills, to supliment power ussage.. Sure it's not the most lucrative cash wise, but it doesn't pollute near a fraction of coal or nuclear waste, and it doesn't creat more heat or cause more pollution raod repairs, or so forth that coal does.. Nuclear energy isn't hte best answer eitheir, but it seems reasonably safe (but I admit to not doign any research into it, so me saying such is at best so so for a statement).

Answer: Because, despite decades of development and money thrown down the drain, the pipe dreams you mention don't produce enough power.

Nothing more that grandstanding by the greenies. I'm sure if someone takes a close look at their data, there's plenty of assumptions being made that will bring their findings into question just like the global warming charade.

And violent crimes have killed almost as many people this year in Columbus. Sounds like a 'Global warming" type hoax. Thought Obama was going to help "clean coal" at least that what he said in Chillicothe and in front of coal miners.
Where do this morons think they are going to get the electricity to power their cars? You still have to have pwer plant to produce the electricity, and the more electricity you use on your 40 mile cars the more the power plants spew into the air. Think about it.

Dear Dispatch:

I notice you have it in for coal, and would like to see it eliminated from any and all sources of fuel for power plants (this is not the first anti-coal article you've published). Exactly what is your solution to replace all the coal plants. Also, what steps have you taken to reduce your carbon footprint? How much have you invested in renewable energy? How many windmills or solar panels do you own? Where are those solar panels hidden on the buildings you own? How many cfl's have you installed in your buildings?

This is absolutely ridiculous! What a stupid article and waste of ink. This whole environmental frenzy in nothing more than a cottage industry filled with lawyer/activists, journalists and other functionally unemployable remnants from our Nation's liberal-arts colleges looking for donations to continue their global-warming-whining.

For example, the Traffic Statistics section within the Ohio Traffic Safety Office reports 568 deaths in Ohio for 2010 for the period Jan. 1 through July 21; up from 507 traffic deaths during the same period of time in 2009. There is certainly no statistical manipulations and other hocus-pocus necessary to measure this gory reality.

Please quit your pathetic environmental whining, grab a shovel and help us dig our way out of this mess. Otherwise, get out of the way.

And the trucks, trains and barges which haul that coal to the power plant all run on diesel.

What about car exhausts or chemical plants, how many will those kill this year? What a poor tactic to put target on coal power plants. I'm all about a clean environment and living in a healthy community, but I draw the line somewhere. I'm not going to stop driving my car, I'm not going to stop buying products (because everything we buy gets manufactured somewhere and give off pollution)... and I like my cheap electricity. I see post after post of people complaining about rising energy costs and the utilities going after every dime they can. The day we say goodbye to coal power plants is the day we say goodbye to cheap energy.

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Gemini

This is a good time to take stock of your actions and the direction you're going in. Are your efforts getting you anywhere or leading you astray and scattering your energy? If you're putting in the work but not moving forward, you're not on track. The old adage 'cut your coat according to your cloth' is good advice. Be simple and purposeful and don't waste time with things that get no practical results.
