I'm awesome, have too many friends and going to the dive known as Dick's manana.

It is difficult to be mean to someone once you meet them.
Sure, hide here, spew your venom that you would not dare say to someone face to face!
Stay afraid my friends, stay afraid!
And for all of you that think Glitter was the one that set up the "gathering" at Dick's, it wasn't. It was me! I called her out along with others and they showed no fear.
Now, we have a graet amount of admiration and trust!
I had been called out this past summer on a different thread. We all met had a great lunch and are still friends.

I can't vote. Nothing applies. I've been to the Den/dive -- everyone there is awesome, even the ones I disagree with. Come with your game on and bring the spouse even. No big deal. Bunch of folks with common interests having a drink or two. No one is out to change the world....or fight. At least not me. Totally non-violent type. I just walk when something is definitely wrong or against my best interests.

I try not to put my life in danger. I stay outside I 270. I think they should put a big fence around it and keep you urban people inside.

I would love to join you guys some Sunday, but Columbus is sort of far from where I'm at. It's not the drive down which concerns me, but rather the drive back after having a few.

But next weekend we are visiting my son at Wright State, and will be heading back and going through Columbus Sunday. If you are planning a meeting, maybe my wife and I could stop by for a bit.

WSU? I went to school there a few years before transferring into Capital. Also lived right next to it and WPAFB, in Beavercreek, for many years. My adopted hometown. Can provide you with the good spots in the area to hit if you need (hotels, restaurants, etc.).

Usually every week, someone is at Dicks.

He really likes it at Wright, although at first we were a bit concerned because it is largely a commuter school (which we were unawre of). But it works well for him, he does his socializing during the week and his studying during the weekends when it is quiet. So far so good, he's in his third year and hasn't had anything less than an A.

We usually end up going to Logan's for steaks (his favorite), but if you know of a place better, I'm always willing to take suggestions. How early do you guys go to Dicks? We would be coming through Columbus probably around noon or so.

Thank you Brighteyes. If it works out timing wise, I think we'll be there. But I can almost guarantee you, you'll like her a lot more than you like me. She makes a great first impression, where as I kind of grow on you.

I am not hidden behind the computer. Instead I am using it to contribute to the public dialogue. I always have the option of contributing nothing. You'll have to take what you get and like it.

I think you have to be careful exactly how much 'reality' you want to show to people from here (or online in general). You get comfortable with people you think are your friends and you show your vulnerable side. Then when you come back online and say something maybe the masses may not agree with they might turn on you. Faster than Glitter turned on Reader. So I would just keep the two entities seperated.
