Ms Benjamin sounds like a woman that we will enjoy getting to know better. I wish her the best--for the sake of the country as well as herself.

I live in Alabama but have never heard of her before now. That means that either I have not been paying close enough attention to local news or that she hasn't really been generating any. If she had done anything anti-LGBT I probably would have heard it.

Congrats to her on the nomination. I had hoped Dr. Sanjay Gupta would have gotten the job but hopefully she will do well.

So how many other surgeon generals have you heard of before they became surgeon general?

I have a better question-

How many Surgeon Generals have you heard of after they became Surgeon General?

I have heard of C. Everett Koop after he was SG. As a matter of fact, I saw him in some TV Public Service announcement not too many years ago. Can't remember what it was, but I do remember he was in it. Ain't too many people named "C. Everett Koop" out there!:-)

When I said I hadn't heard of her that was a good thing since she's from Alabama, though on the other end of the state. If she had done something anti-gay or negative in general it would have made the news.

I think we have all heard of Dr. Koop, but I don't believe anyone could name the current Surgeon General.

Still, I understand what you mean.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Taurus

Social situations bring out the best in you right now, especially if they encourage you to be a free spirit and you don't have to worry about being on your best behavior all the time. In fact, you'll welcome the chance to kick over the traces in some way or remind certain people that you're a much more complex personality than they sometimes give you credit for.
