I am devastated by the news that the Augustinians are slated to withdraw from Monsignor Bonner High School in June. I attended Prendie 1987-1991 and participated in many activities at Bonner. My cousin went to Prendie also graduating in 1983. Another cousin graduated from Bonner in 1997. My aunt, Maureen Eberle, taught at Bonner for 25 years until her death in September 2007. I am certain that she would have resigned from Bonner to coordinate with the augustinians departure. I cannot imagine Bonner without the Augustinians and shudder to think of it. I am planning to send my son to Bonner in three years and would like to know if there is anything that can be done to reverse this decision. I wanted him to experience the Augustinian influence in his life. To say that I am saddened by this news, is an exaggerated understatement. Does anyone have any thoughts? Diane

Diane I also feel terrible about the Augustinians pulling out of Bonner. I attended Prendie from 1982 to 1986, and one of the many memories I have of the campus is seeing the Augustinians walk by my school in their black cassocks. It's really, really sad.
