Shameful Academe Twists Research To Attack LGBT Families

Jun 11, 2012 Full story: lezgetreal.com 15

There is an old truism that academes are measured by the worst of their numbers, at least that is how I think it went.

I saw this recently. Major newspapers began to pick up Regnerus's findings, and only a day later, major inconsistencies and questions began to show up.

Most chillingly and tellingly, the *source funds* for his research are traceable to several virulently antigay organizations.

It never ends. They never quit. My hope is that Regnerus or his sources get so hysterical that they try to take this to court, where experts can rip the findings to shreds, or throw them into serious doubt.

They're *NOT* honest findings.

Regnenus sounds an awful lot like Rekers, but with fewer syllables.

Warn the rentboys.

Yeah, well I want a major news outlet doing some investigative reporting on this guy.

60 Minutes USED to be good at stuff like that.

That's funny because ya know what? I think of the major news outlets as *literally useless*.

Why?

Because in every story about gay rights, they PRESENT VIRULENTLY ANTIGAY VIEWPOINTS as if these are "fair and balanced." For some weird reason, snyper,

for some *bizarre as hell* reason,

they *DO NOT* do that when they present stories about *RACISM*.

They don't contact the Ku Klux Klan or any similar organization.

Yet with gay rights stories, they present *literal hatred* in opposition.

All that is PRECISELY why I use that as a gauge of true progress.

You are more forgiving than I, if that's the correct word. There are certain types of things -- not all things; certain types -- that I never, ever, ever forget.

Any one know where i can find this study. I would like to read it for myself so that I can make my mind up about it.

If you have even a basic research methodology course under your belt, you'll see some of the flaws right off. The more you know, the more you will see.

Yeh not all that impressive is it. Seems like the numbers were just a bit skewed. Also being paid for by groups who seem to be out to prove something doesnt help.

It's especially revealing that the antigay are leaping upon the study and claiming (as I'm seeing them do), "Of course you'd deny it." This shows nothing but that they're behaving *AS USUAL*, looking for predetermined negative outcomes and then, no matter how many people can *point directly and specifically to flaws* in the study, insisting it "must be true" solely -- solely!-- because its outcome supports antigay vitriol.

The antigay are literally *valueless* in any type of exchange or conversation. Literally.

I will say it forever, the pro-gay need the fortitude to fight them extensively and endlessly. Not all of it useful, of course; but their *literal lies* need to be attacked with a viciousness which should shock them. Seriously.
