Numb nuts, those are two totally different towns with two different police departments. If you have a problem with a cop from Wesleyville, contact the chief from Wesleyville. His name is Chef Rob Schulz.

And as far as your belief that they are simply traffic cops. If they are not answering calls for service from their tax paying residents, there is no reason that they can't be out enforcing the vehicle code. At least they are able to be pro active instead of reactive like other police agencies, and stop some of the dui's before they crash and kill someone.

You twit!! The reason the crime rate in Lawrence Park is low despite it being in East Erie County is because LP HAS ITS OWN police department. The township doesn't have to rely upon the Erie Police or the State Police for protection. This is just one reason Lawrence Park is a great place to live and raise a family. This is so true, I once was at Joann Fabrics in the Eastway Plaza, went to help this elderly women with a handicap sticker load her items in front of the store,(less than 1 minute)and that SOB gave her a ticket for loading in the fire zone in front of the store. She was not parked there while shopping, just pulled up to load her items while her cart sat on the sidewalk. That jackass waited for her to get out of her van load her things and then step out of his car with a ticket! Little ball less bastard could have at least helped her load her van!

That sounds about right. If you believe dispatcher there you would think Wesleyville / LP was Beverly Hills. It's more like Mayberry. Between the retarded FD and now these fools, that whole town is slowly becoming Union City like. Like I said before, maybe if they cleaned the run down town up it might be salvagable. But the more I pass thru the more dark it is becoming and the houses are really becming very dumpy. Look out, here comes the city chocolate!!

And just a final thought on the PD. Isn't it halarious how they sit up towards Buffalo and wait for some poor SOB to just slow down near the front of one of the businesses in the K-Mart plaza. I was waiting for my wife to come out of Subway one time and he must have pulled up on 5 people. That is probably the only time they get to turn their lights on.
