Poll: Why support regional transportation tax?

According to WSB this morning the tax on gas is about to go up again. That means the state tax portion has gone up 80% since last July. Previous stories presented on the news have stated how badly the DOT manages money and projects.

This story is entitled "Why support regional transportation tax" but only talks about a survey that says 41% of people say transportation is a good reason for an additional tax. That means 59% think something else.

Why would a sane, intelligent person vote for this additional sales tax?

clearly, even the average joe can see the huge amount of wasted money in the DOT. or even in govt related expenditures related to transportation such as paving roads that don't need paving like they did last year , way to waste a few million. unbelievable.

For anyone out there who is ever unfortunate enough to have to deal with the Dept. of Transportation

No. 1 Never believe a word they say.
No. 2 Never sign anything .
No. 3 Never assume the Dept. of Transportation will deal fairly with you ,regarding property matters.
No. 4 Never let the Dept. of Transportation intimidate you .
By threatening to condemn your property.
No. 5 Hire a lawyer before you let this bunch of CROOKED B--TARDS on your property.

The DOT is in the "SAVE THEIR JOBS MODE"
and that,s what this regional transportation tax is all about.
What the DOT needs is another AUDIT to expose to the public what their really up to.
