"...interesting differences emerged. Instead of highly individualistic religious beliefs that focused on personal piety and adherence to doctrinal creeds, they found a whole slew of religious folks who were more communally minded—who put the needs of the whole over the needs of the individual and personal righteousness.."

HI!

yeah, i'm one.

My personal lifestyle is one of service. I'm not about condemning those that sin, but rather trying to help them back towards God.

We don't stand on the side of the road with signs saying "abortion is murder", we help raise money for non-abortion pregnancy resource centers.
We don't protest the funerals of gay soldiers, we let families mourn and offer to pray with them.
We don't decide who to vote for based on their views on abortion, we look at the whole of issues to vote for the person that will best help the community and allow churches to help people.

We don't sit around quoting old testament scripture to say why people shouldn't have teir freedom, or to show our children who to hate, we use the words of Jesus to teach, heal, and support people that need our help the most.

Christian lefties are just christians without the side of crazy.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Virgo

If the past few days have been a blur of cooking, washing up and wrapping paper, take a break today and catch up with loved ones. Have a long talk with one of them so you can find out what they've been doing lately, or discuss a topic that concerns both of you. Right now, you're blessed with plenty of diplomacy so the conversation should go well.
