I hope this passes.

That will mean that talented LGBT faculty and staff will saty at places like Cal, Vanderbilt or North Carolina.(Not that any gay of us in our right mind would move to Alabama to begin with.)

But its passage would be just one more reason to saty out of the Deep South.

Is it true that the Klan now has a two tooth policy for its members?(That would be considered advance thinking for the Alabama.)

Are these the last dying gasps for air from desperate homophobic bigots?

It seems to me that these kinds of bigoted actions are becoming more and more common as gay/lesbians take each small step forward toward reaching equality.

This legislator and all others who are so blinded that they cannot represent ALL OF THEIR CONSTIUENTS need to be removed from their jobs.

No, he represents the majority of the people who voted for him. Those of us who vote for far right politicians do so with the expectation that they will do what they can to perserve traditional morals in America.

Sure they are, and its not just because they're after our right to marry, the anti-gay crowd is after LGBT people having any rights at all.

Please let people love whomever they want to wherever they want to and provide equal rights for all. There are many other issues that profoundly impact this world and what people do in their bedrooms is not one of them. Love not hate.

Good thing they have nothing against the gays; it's just about protecting the word marriage, right?

Typical hypocrites.

No, he represents HIS DISTRICT - which is every citizen who lives there - INCLUDING GAYS.

If the majority of those citizens agree with his actions - and I assume that in Alabama they would - it is not for some California liberal to announce he needs to be removed. Your comment REEKS of homofascism. You are not going to bully the American public into accepting the gay agenda. If you don't like his stance, don't move to his district.

Alabama, also the last state to repeal their ban on inter-racial marriages in 2000. Oh, and if only the white vote had been counted, the ban would have STAYED!

your opinion.

You provide a benefit to one person, you have to provide it to ALL people. Denying equal rights to EVERY Alabaman, he may be violating the Alabama Constitution which reads:

SECTION 1

Equality and rights of men.

That all men are equally free and independent; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

yep, if you look at their Constitution, the law is still on the books noting that it was repealed:

SECTION 102

Miscegenation laws.

The legislature shall never pass any law to authorize or legalize any marriage between any white person and a negro, or descendant of a negro.

This section has been annulled by Amendment 667.

yup some of the best schools are in the gay friendly states:) hmmm wonder why?
Because basically the Liberals can't survive outside of academia.
Academia is the only occupation where facts and logic are not required and the "grading system" is controlled almost exclusively by those being "graded".
Thus most of those in your "best schools" can't pour urine out of a boot, with instructions on the heel.

what exactly do you consider to be a liberal?...i mean people say i am a liberal but i don't think so i think i am more in between liberal and conservative...i mean i am gay so naturally i support gay rights but is that enough to call me liberal?
