Full story: Freerepublic.com

Believers in Intelligent Design have often been scorned as being opposed to science, but science itself is showing that it is the evolutionists who are opposed to rational inquiry.

"...[S]cience itself is showing that it is the evolutionists who are opposed to rational inquiry."

What delicious irony that the writer clearly has no understanding of what the word "rational" means.

Seriously, is there a way we can make membership to freep a disqualification for voting? Because, DAMN.

The FreeRepublic mission statement (sort of):

"Welcome to Free Republic!
Free Republic is the premier online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web. We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America."

So, being willfully ignorant and returning the United States back to the dark ages is "furthering conservatism in America"?

Hmm. I guess North America WAS very free back when only the Native Americans were living here in the early part of the last millennium.

Once more, with feeling:

INTELLIGENT DESIGN
IS
NOT
SCIENCE.

Come up with an actual scientific theory (not a vaguely religious pseudoscientific hypothesis with no real basis) that explains diversity among species and rationally posits a different and credible explanation for the literally tons of evidence supporting Darwin's theory, and maybe then we can talk about having it taught in schools.

Scientific discovery is not a democratic process. Reality is not a consensus decision.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Aquarius

You will not be satisfied in your work place, but give it some time and things will fall into place. Those in the construction business should get some good news. Aquarian homebodies will find things rather hectic and may develop a headache by the end of the day, so you should avoid negative thinking as much as possible.
