With several attention-grabbing protests before Iowa's caucuses, Occupy Wall Street activists proved their movement did not end when its encampments in big cities dispersed.

In reference to Iowa, I don't believe that the Occupy Wall Street movement had much to do with the marginal choice of Romney. Iowa is not concerned too much with jobs as they have among the lowest unemployment rates. I believe it is 5% although this may not be the correct figure.
If this is the case, the voters were more interested in the positions of the candidates on social issues such as gay marriage. About 48% of the caucas population is comprised of evangelicals who consider such matters to be of utmost importance. If you ask some Pennsylvanians, Santorum sunk his own ship with a book that came out before the 2010 election. He expressed the view that mothers belong in the home and many working women do so for egotistical reasons. Santorum wants to bring us all back to the 1950's when most wives did not work out of the home and there were many fewer female heads of household. In effect, I don't think that the outcome of the Iowa caucases reflected anything much beyond a predictable choice of Romney and Santorum, who are idealogically much on the same page of the poplation of Iowa. Yet this is indicative of he ambivalence of voters, given that only about 8 votes separated the front runner. As the primaries go on, in states with more diverse points of view will give a better idea of the true strength of Santorum's and Romney's candidacies. |

COMING FROM THE MAN WHO RECEIVED MORE WALL STREET MONEY THAN ANYONE IN THE LAST 20 YEARS. Obama -- weighed down by the sputtering economy and lingering high unemployment, faces a tough reelection battle with the eventual nominee. ‘CODE:‘I CAN’T RUN ON MY RECORD SO I WILL DO AS WITH MY OTHER CAMPAIGNS AND USE A BILLION DOLLARS WORTH OF ATTACK ADS.” USA Closes 2011 With Record $15.22 Trillion In Debt, Officially At 100.3% Debt/GDP..., WITH OBAMA ASKING FOR ANOTHER 1.2 TRILLION. |

Judged: 1 1 1 O.K.,let me reword that, how about the people that don't pay any income/federal tax? You are right saying that everyone, even the "rich" pay taxes if you are talking about sale/use taxes. Not everyone(49%) pays income tax but get the same services, sometimes more than the people that pay the federal taxes. Is that fair? |

Judged: 2 2 2 There you go,typical leftist loon, dodge the question and start with the slurs and insults to change the subject.Just so you know, the interest only home loans were the work of the democrats because they felt that everyone is "owed" a house even if they couldn't afford it.You do know about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac,don't you? You do know that it was B.Franks and C.Dodd that covered up what was really going on with Fannie and Freddy by saying they were in great shape while both Franks and Dodd were getting "special rates" from them, you know that, right? BTY: I watch almost all of the differance media outlets expect MSNBC,can't take the lies, spin and the left leaning rants that they do 24/7. |
