The state should break out statistics that show death rates from seasonal human influxes that sweep in during October to stay in Florida until March (six months, a half year residential bloc); and then break out death rates from disease during the summer months after those populations leave the state and 'free up' impacted wildlife and year-round communities-made-pulp. I wish we could close the borders to keep the damned gringos out of Mexico! They come down here to party and act like they own the whole world, they bring disease and corruption with them, they mock us like we're some kind of wogs, then they blame all of their troubles on us. I can't tell you how sick I am of these privileged fat-ass prima donnas who think every last person whose skin is a shade tanner than theirs owes them some debt of gratitude. You bring disease upon yourself, gringo, through your immorality and greed. It's what Kipling called "the white man's burden." Enjoy it...

I agree there is racism because of the immigration controversy. I know that the Mexican-American War of the 1840s was really a war of White Protestants versus Brown Catholics. But not all whites are racist against Mexicans. There is a mix. You have obviously seen the bad examples. I have dealt with white racism because people thought I was an illegal alien. I am actually Apache Indian. I was racial profiled by an African American policeman in Publix off of Monroe and Tharpe. He probably thought I was an illegal alien. I am Native American from Arizona. However, as an Apache, I have dealt with racism from both whites and Latinos. In Mexican culture, there was a period of warfare against Apaches for about four hundred years. At one point, the Mexican government held a slave trade and scalp bounty policy on Apaches. A child's scalp was worth 25 pesos in Old Mexico. Whereas racist whites can pressure me to lose my Apache language and speak only English, I have met racist Mexicans who want me to lose my Apache language and speak only Spanish. To be fair, I have met many modern Mexicans who are proud of their Native American ancestry and treat me very nicely. But historically it wasn't always like that. Old Mexico had a caste system based on skin color and blood quantum.

I know there is racial tension between blacks and Latinos in the California prison system. The movie "Blood In Blood Out" is dead on. Ironically, African roots are part of Mexico.

But as a positive example of Mexican culture, I always revered "Stand and Deliver" - a movie about poor Mexican teenagers who excel in college calculus. I passed the AP exam just like the kids in the movie. I took 7 semesters of calculus and 3 semesters of graduate statistics. I now have two master's degrees as a biomedical engineer and work for the state. Take care.
