Fear of a Chinese Planet?

Americans are particularly egocentric. Alliance between PRC and Russia is practical. Russia has a lot of territory and few people compared to PRC which has a populations that has outgrown its territories. They eye land in Russia.

Also, PRC has a male heavy population. Alliance with Russia means access to women for Chinese men for reproductive purposes.

Russian has a bundle of oil and gas that PRC is cornering around the world. She wants the access and even maybe, to seize some. Russia wants to sell.

PRC could seek to do the three above either by war and raiding or by alliances and trading, at first. Then comes the war and raiding.

There is clear choice for Russia.

1:Chirussia

2:Russia as biggest member of
"Great Trancaucasian Four" which competes
with G-3 and G-8 of Europe

Therefore, Russia will never become Chirussia.

Maybe if the US doesn't want other countries to form alliances against it, the US should conduct itself in accordance with international law.

It seems like things might work out a lot better all around that way.

all this 'counter US influence' is a little inane.

america is MASSIVELY ENCOURAGING china's rapid growth. its our investment, our trade agreements(along w/ the rest of the west). all this talk about the US being uber scared of china simply doesn't hold water. we're the ones giving them tons of money!

Perhaps you should try and think again. We're talking about the Russia of Putin who has his youth militia harass foreign ambassadors, where racism is rampant, that has no scrupules whatsoever in its treatment of 'rebellious' regimes, that has no problems with a few war-crimes here and there (especially in Chechnya), that has an income discrepancy that far exceeds that of the US, and that has no problems in supporting regimes that commit atrocities, yet unlike the US is not attacked for doing so.

It would not be the first time that Russia and China are involved in war, or in other ways are bugging each other.

Actually, Europe does NOT regard the US as the first threat for themselves. They may disagree a lot with the US, but when asked to choose between Russia/China and the US, the vast majority would choose the US without even having to think a second.

Interracial marriage in France is extremely limited. Most white French girls rapidly find out that many black men are just looking for a slave, not a partner. Apparently you tell us that Chinese men are looking are the same. Then indeed the Russian men have nothing to fear...

The China/Russia relationship can be a symbiotic one like the US/Canada one.

One nation loaded with mineral wealth bordering another with over ten times the population.

As long as Russia keeps a firm grip on owning what is rightfully hers it has all the similarities of what has happened in North America.

Unlike Canada, whose gov'ts have sold our nation.

The citizens of Canada did not give these people permission to do this.

Russia has the right leadership right now to heal that nation, and in the future will be maybe even more potent than the Moscow of the halcion days of the former USSR. And it all boils down to a country that is not for sale.

The union between China and Russia is a very serious one indeed. The former Soviet Union has many nuclear weapons and biological weapons that the US does not have because the US abided by the contract it made with the SU. China I am sure has many projects under way. Putin rules with an iron fist, he claimed he wanted democracy, but he has taken over that country like everyone before him; poisoning running mates and perhaps ex-spys. China has so many people that the two military's combined would be astronomical in numbers. This union is a serious threat against the US. As we see there are many racist attitudes in China as clearly spoken by butterfly and in Europe as spoken by Marco. I am not sure what the black man has to do with anything, but black and religion are two different things. I know there are alot of Arabs in France and the French are racist against them. In China all you know about blacks is what the media puts out there. Get educated then we can talk color.

This is the most interesting message I have read on Topix. I all seems so perfectly clear. Just as the former Soviet Union was toppled economically the U. S. finds itself balancing between bankruptcy and oblivion. Unable to effectively compete on the global market because of our higher standard of living. Unable to negotiate trade treaties mutually favorable with China.

While we have been pouring our national wealth into Iraq; China has been spending our dollars due to the trade imbalance and our thirst for inexpensive products on nation building.

While we have practically alienated the known world, China has been globe trotting working up trade agreements. Cutting deals with Russia for natural gas, in negotiations with OPEC for private oil contracts. Cutting deals in India, Africa Nations, Pakistan, New Zealand, Venezuela, and Austrailia to name a few.

Investing billions of dollars in solar energy, nuclear, and green technologies. Funneling billions more into research and developement while steadily building up their navy and increasing their military budget.

Mandarin Chinese, not English has become the language of choice. All of this while Corporate America buddies up to the new kid in town. Just this week China announced the hiring of 300,000 to sell Avon door to door.

The Cold War greatest fear could be realized. Socialism may end up dominating the world afterall.

The countries with socialists seem to be experiencing the highest growth rates? Perhaps it is better to invest in yor own people than to invest in foreign wars you can't win
