I think you were refering to Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia war - Americans fighting to free Muslims from mass murder - how ironic. Oh by the way Iransn sent there own troops to help fight, which the US allowed along with UN troops from around the world. Guess where most of the muslims went after or during the war..America for freedom. Afganistan war - Did America start the Afganistan war. I think the Soviets started the Afganistan war. Who helped the Afgahans fight for freedom? Did the US get in the Talibans business and stop there religious rule before 9/11 or after the suprise attack? Did you know there are more muslims in America then Afganistan who enjoy freedom? Iraq - Who asked for our help during the first Iraq war? I believe it was Saudia Arabia. How pissed off did the Iraqi people become when we pulled out of Iraq the first time by request from Saudia Arabia. We finnish the job the second time and the Iraqi people rejoice. Now Iran sends radical shittes to Iraq to obtain control and revenge the Sunni muslims for past atrocities. I will admit the US did not think that part through. And do not forget the most important fact of all... During WWII Japan struck Pearl Harbor first luckly our fleet was out at sea. Today we forgive and are strong allies who have a sub off your country protecting your ass!!!

Ask any WW2 veteran," Did we forgive Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor out of kindness and out good nature of forgiving?" No. We say we have forgiven Japan's attack on us because we wanted to create on the fast track a proxy for us to contain China. In response, China has created a proxy, namely North Korea. So long as China exists, North Korea will exist. Sanctions imposed on NK is meaningless. Talks to come in the 6-nations conference is a waste of our time. Niether NK nor China will ever wage war on us, like the Japanese. They will simply wear us out psychologically and financially; tie us up militarily. Do we want to go on in a vicious circle getting nowhere or do we want to do something effectively? It is entirely on our shoulder. We need to change course. Take them as friends and not foes. Of course taking them as friends will hurt the feelings of some countries. But we need to think of ourselves. What do we gain by taking as foes as we are doing now? Taking China a friend the NK Korea issue will be resolved overnight. Not only that, China can help us relieving our burden in the Pacific. China need us to be their 'no double standard' friend. China depend on our market. Without our market they can not survive. We both need each other. To stay in the same course is just wasting our time. Time is the esense and time is on their side. It is a sad reality that we better accept the sooner the better for us. There will be no war between NK and US. There will never be between China and us.

Are you so sure that the DPRK, with possible help with China, will never wage war? And you explain China here, but can you explain the North Koreans mentality, and Kim Jong Il's so easily? "Taking China a friend the NK Korea issue will be resolved overnight"-you know it is not so simple-especially when the DPRK are helping arm Iran at the same time, who are alos friends of China. The US and China will never be 'friends' as you put it till one or the other falls from prominence. "What do we gain by talking as foes as we are doing now?"-what does the world gain by completely ignoring issues that, if left alone, could spark regional and in some cases global conflicts?

You need to respect others without using those dirty words whether you agree with the person or not. This is sheer arogant, grandstanding and intimidating in your childish way, just like the US likes to behave! You believe your country is helping others in a great way, in some ways you are correct but it is often all for your gains and not sacrifices for the sake of others. Just be honest! Most poor countries are of this opionion! But you cant judge every American to be like the politicians and such you see in the Media, and our Freedom of Speech is widely overused by "tough guys" who like to talk offensive over the web, knowing they recieve no punishment, aside from hate. I'm American and i do think we step too far quite abit, but I, as a citizen, can do nothing about anything they're doing. I see this alot. americans are "insert offensive term here- blah blah blah". Japanese are probably the laziest of the mongoloid race. Japan I'm sorry but its true you can't create your culture without China and Korea,......... If you say this has nothing to do with the subject right know I don’t care. I demand the Japanese to know that they are the Mini-China of Asia..........The Japanese will always remain to be the lesser state to China because China made your nation .Japan” Made In China”. Yes I know Chinese products aren't really good and look Japan didn't turn out good either.......... See? THIS is insult, which was obviously made by one of your fellow Chinese. <quoted text> What's happening to Tibetan and Uyghur peoples and pollution and contamination of environment are not 'internal" problems and are bothering those peoples and people living in the neighboring countries. Even the live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners which you may successfully claim the "internal" status is bothering a great many people around the around. <quoted text> So you would agree and support future military buildup by Japan at the rate of expansion well over 10% per annum for 18 years in a row, along with her building of nuclear arsenals as long as it's "to defend themselves and to project its power from off its shores for protection." Correct? <quoted text> Well, it's very reassuring. I'm glad to hear that. Would you be more specific on some wording? What are "its priorities" and "the right direction?" That guy is totally right thats why its insulting.Japan has no culture of its own.

Two countries cannot be real friends unless they share the same values. If they try to, it is only a bed relationship of mutual convenience that's gonna last till the next morning. The US is founded on principles of Liberty, Equality, and Democracy and there are limitations as to who can be their "real" friends. The US dependence on China is overstated. There are dozens of countries that can manufacture cheap products for the US, with the same or better quality (no doping!).

Liberty - the world's highest incarceration rate. 686 per 100,000 of the population are locked up which is roughly 2 million people also another first place for America in shear numbers. Or are Americans just BAD people??? Equality - an ever widening gap between rich and poor..... Quote: "Families in the top fifth have an annual average income of $132,131, about two-and-a-half times more than middle-income families ($50,434) and nearly seven-and-a-half times the $18,116 families in the bottom fifth earn a year." Democracy - bought and paid for through sponsorship in return for lobbying.....Quote: "First, we must determine if the basic premise is correct: has democracy been a failure? For those in doubt, consider Bill Clinton, three trillion in national debt and twenty wars and /or police actions since 1945. The two party system no longer functions, and we are ruled over as surely as if we had anointed a king. Did you vote for the tax measures that consume close to sixty per cent of your income? Un huh I didnt think so." The term "American dream" seems spot on though.

Equality - means social equality. Equal opportunity, and not equal income.:-) Let me excuse you for this misinterpretation. Even if you consider the bottom fifth income in the US, it is way above that of most developing and 3rd world economies. So its not that bad. Even with $18K a year, you can survive, have food-shelter-clothing and not live on the streets. old china wrote: <quoted text> Democracy - bought and paid for through sponsorship in return for lobbying.....Quote: "First, we must determine if the basic premise is correct: has democracy been a failure? Paying taxes isn't all that bad if people are getting so much back from the govt - services, utilities, social security, an efficient law enforcement and legal system, social justice, freedom of speech and expression. What more do average humans want? It is very easy to downplay what the americans have built over 300 years of democracy. Countries like yours and mine can only take a leaf out of it's success. Stop bitching about America, selectively. It is still a great nation, despite the minor failures

Surely it cannot just be down to efficient law enforcement? But if you have equal opportunity then that could be said of everybody in all countries. Those born into money have distinct advantages over those that are born into poverty. Opportunity favours the rich and those with connections. Blacks are more likely to be arrested and convicted than whites. Reverse discrimination is not equality. The one party system is not at issue albeit that it appears to be currently working well for China. It is the erosion of democracy which appears to be the bone of contention for ordinary Americans.
