I don't know why he even got a chance to make a plea ... come on he is as guilty as they get. Save tax payers some money and just execute him.

Due process, no matter how much a person is in the wrong they have to give them due process. I bet he will plead insanity. Just a thought:(

This reminds me of that day during Lent when I was 7 and came home with brownie crumbs on my face and told my Mom it was pumpernickel.

Nope...there's another person that sneaks brownies during Lent? That would make me feel a little less guilty.

My question is how the Detective became a Detective? Blood, footprints in the snow with evidence of a struggle, scratches on both,...how did he get passed the stinch in the house??? Sounds like a low budget movie where the small town police was in on the murders, rapes,...Texas Chainsaw, Pulp Fiction,...

You know the deal...the detective probably "ASSumed" that his house would smell that way because of who he is and where he lives. Also, probably "ASSumed" the victim was a crack head prostitue and therefore not worthy of the detectives time or interest or caring. What a horrible shame. Makes you wonder how many other crimes he/she has overlooked.

I suspect that this is pretty common. I follow the police reports in my urban neighborhood. Unless they see it happen they put it down as he-said-she-said and just direct them to the prosecutor's office to file charges if they choose.

Like it or not, everyone has the right to both due process and the protection against cruel and unusual punishment. The guy is obviously guilty and deserves whatever punishment the courts hand down. In fact, he deserves much worse than what the courts will give him. However, we have a Constitution and a Bill of Rights for a reason, and everyone, no matter how heinous their crimes, is given those protections. I'm not ready to sacrifice the right to a fair trial and the right to be protected from cruel and unusual punishments, even for the worst individuals.

They need to use this guy to test the new methods of injection out on. They could give him a small injection everyday and increase it little by little until he dies. That way, they would know how much to give without wasting any on future criminals.

Duh! The police did not believe the woman. Try reading the article again and then ask someone of you can not understand or read.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aquarius

Someone is being bombastic and overbearing, and you don't like it. You aren't prepared to take their behavior lying down, but standing up to them is likely to result in a rip-roaring row. Well, it seems that the row is almost inevitable, and perhaps that's just as well because it won't do you any good to swallow your anger or tolerate this person's boorishness for much longer.
