It's not the management company's fault. People can lie on their applications after all. And, it's not like they ask "have you ever killed anyone" on the application.

I'm not trying to sound insensitive here, but it's your daughter's own fault for living in Parma. You want to be safe, go live in Strongsville or Richfield or somewhere like that. Parma has gone downhill. All the ethnic neighborhoods that made it great are getting too old and the children are moving away. No one wants the houses because they're too small and have no land, so the family sells it to trash.

I live there and I am not trash. I chose that complex becasue of how great the management company is. It is close to my work and I have always felt safe there. Even now I still feel safe. Their management company is one of the largest property management companys in Cleveland. If you put that many residents in that small of an area something is bound to happen. It doesn't matter if I would be living in Strongsville or Richfield.

i live here @ midtown towers, this is my second time in 20 years taking up residency, it isn't as easy as it once was to move in here. if you are a felon, you can not move in, if you have prior drug, or domestic charges, you can not move in. the property has security,and staff is constantly seen through out the day. you can not possibly know if, who, the people you rent to, are associated with people who believe they live above the law. it is happeneing every where, not just in parma. how about the people buying up homes and turning them into meth-labs? do you suppose the bank knew that? trash isnt just here in parma, strongsville hotels are filled with just about every type of criminal there is. the people in those hotels arent doing background checks...move to a community like bratenahl if you really think you are all that to call parma people trash.

Pond scum can grow anywhere. The bad guys are everywhere and can look like anyone. Parma is a great place to live except for the crooked politicians and corrupt police force.

Who said the shooter lives in this place? Who said the victim is of innocents? Crime is everywhere. Look at downtown, also log on the crime reports.com and you will see crime that is not on the news. Car theft, breaking in's and look at how many sex offenders there are living in the area. This is how you can judge where you want to live Bratenahl is mostly gated housing and mansions can you afford to live there and are you still safe? I see a lot of houses going up for sale in Bratenahl and I also know that the cost of the taxes are high.

Corrupt police force? You read the Plain Dealer and watch TV too much idiot! I'll put my department up to any other department in this area and we'll come out on top. We are the 7th largest city in Ohio with a force of 95 and we kick butt daily! Come do a ride along with us on afternoon or midnight shift one Friday night and we'll see how fast you tell the officer to let you out of the cruiser cuz you're scared. However, you were correct as far as the politicians go, but that's what you get when you have a Democratic run city.

grew up in parma, parma went to hell quick after cheif szabo died, police dept and city! why i left 10 yrs ago, police dispatchers didnt give me the time a day when i had an incident, said they had a burglery going on, what, do they have 4 cops working a a shift?

Parma is full of trash and Strongsville is heading that way to. I live in Parma and work in Strongsville. My kids go to Parma elementary schools and I don't feel safe letting them walk because of all the sex offenders in our area, not to mention, I never see any police officers in my neighborhood patrolling around the time the kids walk to or from school. They must be busy catching speeders on State Rd. What about inside the small streets. I have speeders constantly down my street. Punks. My kids play in the front yard and I am freaking out.

i live in the apartment right above were the guy was killed i wasnt home but my girlfriend was she said she heard the shots and people running on the stairs they said no one was arrested but yet there where three people that left in hand cuffs from what i was told by a police officer the man that was shot his door was kicked in and was shot in the shoulder and went straight through him out his balcony door cops where here for hrs for the first hr. the building was on lock down and everyone that was leaving the parking lot were getting pulled over

I agree with you....my hubby is PPD and they are far from corrupt! They are all very disciplined officers that do a great job protecting the citizens of Parma. The whole story isn't even out yet, so lets not jump to judgement!

i dont blame u my bedroom is right above where the guy was on the floor dead my girlfriend just had her baby and what if my kid would have been in there alseep and it came up through the floor thank god it didnt but i guess we have been here to long time to move

from what they say is that they do background checks they said no one was arrested but three people that lived her where taken out in hand cuffs and to think with all the people that live here of course no one seen anything someone knows something scared asses need to come through and let someone know

I hate Parma it is getting as bad as Cleveland I drive all the way out to Crocker Park to shop cause the stores are full of hoodlums. They need to start blaming parents for the way they brought up their kids and not the police.

So what building did this happen in? I live on the top floor of building 2 and had no clue anything happened.
