I read the rip off report. I used to think Derek was really doing the right things like the people on the rip off report forum stated until I read the numerous comments about what happened at Liberty.I saw him in Detroit in 2007, he was a guest speaker at Bishop Alfred Knight's church. Derek was talking about how the Church of God in Christ needed younger people leading and basically complaining about the entire denomination. I could tell he was tired of being a part of the Church of God in Christ.I was going to visit his church while I was in Los Angeles in 2009 but I didn't have enough time to visit. My hope is that he gets his life together. There are people who support him and evidently were not members of his church and there are people who despise him because their church is gone and they say it's his fault. The people at his church in Detroit and Kalamazoo,Michigan are saying he scammed them out of their money and did unsavory things. All I can say is everybody isn't lieing on him, but somebody definitely is lieing. Either he's a man of God or a fake. Don't hate him because if he did do the things he is said to have done only God can truley repay.
