How does the city council fire someone who is doing a job, willing to get whatever certificate needed to advance in his job by stating there is no longer a need for the job. Then in nearly same breath hire the former water superintendent's grandson to fill the same exact job. He has no more qualifications than the first guy they just fired. Sounds like a Pam perry, Vera Mills, and Don Hall scandal. Nepotism at its finest. Fire them all!!! People need to attend city council meeting and see the circus that these three create.Again Fire them all.

I don't know her that well. But, if you are working in the city hall office. I can imagine you get to hear all kinds of complaints from everyone & everywhere. I bet some days you would like to go hide some where. Plus you still have to keep track of whats going on with the city business too.Hell, probaly bad days up there,i would have to go have a beer myself afterwards. I have seen Pam out planting flowers & trees in the city too. This is during the evenings. I bet she don't get paid for that. This is just things i have seen. Like i said, I don't know her that well. But, i just thought i would mention it.

Talking about the city, Pam Perry, etc. I would like to comment about the city workers. We had the Gunters employed there and now the daughter works for the city. I guess you have to be related or brown nose to get a job with the city! Dont they advertised for these jobs for the city. I never did see anything about a job opening for the city when they hired her.

Yes, she has slept with two thirds of the men in town and has driventrhough yards and smashed flower beds eluding police to avoid a DUI, but Pam Perry has a heart the size of Texas. She sees an unfortunate soul in dire need of assistance, and she uses her free time, personal finances, and professioinal influence to make life better for those in need. She can't sing, and she can't dance, but she can motivate!Go, Pam!

If it were not for people like Pam Perry, Vera Mills, and Allan Patton, there would no longer be a Zeigler...These people are the movers and shakers that keep this town alive and prosperous...and everybody living there should be thankful to them...and there's no telling what the twon would be like if it was full of people like the complainers and critics on this page...I'm glad that Zeigler has such people as Pam and Vera and Allen...and hope they keep up the good work...

No I'm not kidding. What have you done lately for the city of Zeigler. Did you work 17 hours and spend your own money to help get the homecoming festivities set up for everyone's entertainment, have you helped or sponsored any of the Sunset series gatherings? What have you and "Whatever" and "I knowed it" really done to enhance the city of Zeigler? As long as you live there in a glass house, you shouldn't start throwing rocks at other people. Just think of what the town would be like if everybody there was a do nothing dud like you and had the attitude that you have.

There are a lot of people that volunteer there time and efforts. just take your head out of the drunk city clerks butt. she need to be FIRED! the crap she starts so much unrest in the city and will lead the city into multiple law suit. she is useless.

very true dough nut- the world or city does NOT revolve around these people & the city WILL go on if they are not here. There are PLENTY of people who VOLUNTEER thier time for FREE and get NO recognition.

When planning the recent homecoming parade, some people volunteered to ride their horses in the parade. Pam Perry said there would be complaints about the manure, so there ended up being no horses. But she has ab out half a dozen of her friends out riding @ 4 AM this morning in residential neighborhoods, bet that mess wasnt cleaned up! Yet if I walk my dog, I haver to carry a bag @ pick its mess uo! Thats fair, isnt it?

Okay "Whatever." Perhaps I've missed something. Will you refresh my memory and give us a few names of all those you speak of who volunteer their time and money a go without recognition. Maybe we can talk to Pam or Vera ang get a recognition committe going here, because according to you, the town sure does need one.

Why would they want recognition from either of those people???? That's just it "fly" they don't ask for recognition. They do things because they like helping people. Sorry you missed that..

There are those people who work behind the scenes and don't want or need recognition and then there are those like Patton, Mills, Perry, Hall, and Triplett that want and need the recognition. Dr. Patton being the most needy! I had Allan Patton for a teacher in High School and now that I think back on some stuff he couldn't keep his hands off of me. He always had to be touching me. Nothing sexual but definitely creepy!! To this day when I am close to him I keep my distance, he really creeps me out. Yuck!

Here's a name-Nicole Conner! She has non-profit dance team which performs in area events and in their spare time they have fund-raisers for any one or organization who needs help either financially or time-wise. This is in addition to raising 4 kids of her own.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Leo

Perhaps it's the fact that it's Christmas Eve and everyone is busy, but you can't help feeling that you're walking on eggshells around certain people. Their emotions are very close to the surface and could erupt at a moment's notice, perhaps in a storm of tears or a fit of pique. Calm them down and ask if you can do anything to help.
