Tulip City Airport millage passes

The Airport won approval from the taxpayers. Now they have to use that money for improvements at the Airport that will benefit the community.

THose that went out to vote against it probably spent around 5-10 dollars in gas. That is the same amount that is being charged to their tax bills now!

This is not right. Why should I pay more $ so some fat cat living the life can fly into Holland ? I'm tired of footing the bill for the rich to get richer - whoever voted yes for this proposal is an idiot !!!! Jim Storey can Kiss my Ass along with anyone else who put this proposal in the works and got common people to buy off on it.

How about a millage to help me pay off my mortgage or do renovations on my house ?

You know, even a real airport like GRR doesn't receive any taxpayer money. They have to be fully self-sustaining, so why should an airport that only serves the wealthy private airplane owner and business be able to charge taxpayers to sustain it or to make improvements?

That $100+ million parking ramp at GRR...NOT ONE PENNY OF TAXPAYER MONEY!

The $50+ million terminal renovation in 2000...NOT ONE PENNY OF TAXPAYER MONEY!

Their $25+ million operating expenses each and every year...NOT ONE PENNY OF TAXPAYER MONEY!

Go figure...

Now they have the funds to get more of our tax dollars to spend on getting more of our tax dollars (state and federal). My wallet is crying already in anticipation.
