Ok so tell me why would a person move to Wray? Whate is the closest shopping at large grocery stores, how far does one have to drive to walmart or target? Do you have a dance studio in town? Your website does not tell me to much so thanks to topix I may learn something!

The closest Walmart is either Sterling or Fort Morgan which would be about and hour and a half from Wray. They do not have a dance studio however, there are dance classes available in Yuma (approx. 30 miles away), the lady that does those lessons actually comes in from Colorado Springs and is trying to offer lessons in Wray this fall as well.

Don't there is not a walmart unless you drive 1 1/2 hours in any direction. You would have to go to the front range to find a Target. Our grocery store is rediculous in price 26 miles to a decent one. No there is no dance studio and if you are a outsider you don't stand a chance. I have been to carlsbad NM stay put it is so much nicer there than here.

Wray is a good town. Very modern hospital, recreation and activities center, 2 banks, nice main street with services, successful farming and ranching community.

Kathleen is right,
Wray is nothing but a party town. Drunk kids at night, no shopping or activities for that matter. And Casey is right about the successful farming and ranching. You have to have the name to get much accomplished, and the land must be handed to you by family. If you want quiet, try Beecher Island, or Vernon. At least the post office lady/ grocery store owner/clerk will be polite to you. Yes she is the same lady.
