How can this happen folks! Blowing a tire is not something that causes a vehicle as described herein, to automatically roll-over. However, having an inept Driver behind the wheel does! It will now be said that if the fire-fighting chores don't end up killing most of our prison population off, their bus drivers surely will!

My Son is at this camp and I'm just thanking God he wasn't on that bus that night and I'm already worried all the time with all the fires in So. Cal as they use the guys in these firecamps quite often it is a privilage to just be in Firecamp instead of prison but just still pretty dangerous !!!!!

It is amazing how quickly some people with no knowledge of the whole story can be the judge and jury in such matters. I happen to know of the situation and the "inept" driver has over 20 years experience in driving these buses and several other fire apparatus. This particular Captain is well respected by his crew and his peers because of his professionalism and respaect for those he supervises and works along side. He had a desicion to make, drive it off a mountainside, or make the choices he did. So instead of having dead firefighters, he ended up with injured ones. So this "inept" driver probably did more than "Searchlight" could ever know.

Really Searchlight? You're an expert on accidents? It takes not much at all to tip over a vehicle with a higher center of gravity, but, I'm sorry what do I know, you're the expert...tell us, how that could not have happened "automatically"? Folks.
