I did 12 yrs,with 101st then over to the pond with the 3/187 at camp evans,and in the valley and to marble mountain ,jan 2/1970-feb 13-1971 first tour,
iam 66 yrs young.lived into the wind and did all the runs from baseline into big bear mnt and drank at chads bar across the lake and then sugar loaf mnt, hot springs also and then san diego ca by 3rd st and made some runs to mexico to get chips and salsa and some good tacos.made alot of runs from Baja ca to wash state and salem or and then AZ and to many other places ! I started in the 60's and stoped in 2001 and have enjoyed my life even more now, my last run was at chillicothe ohio as just a dude.I was called "Balsie" back in them days and now I go to church and dont even smoke, drink,and just enjoy each day iam given. I lived this long because i took it like a man and didnt talk to anyone in them days. They didnt have the RAT hole to crawl in when things got hot back then ,this is why we have SNITCHES and have to be more careful on who we allow to run with any club.

fort polk, fort benning Ga,Vietnam, germany and then home,Perm party back to fort dix then back to Nam ,got some scratches here and there ,got locked up in the VA mental ward a few times,Drugs and all that crap and the brother hood and into the wind for many years,lost everything and then got kinda smart and cleaned up and never looked back !!?? maybe .yes them cong had alot going and the weed was good also and I got stuck on that white china also? YEA I was way Dumb .I do ride now and then , but do it alone and thought of riding with some vet clubs?? but they were no Differnt then the ones that caused me to do some time and I lost it all and no one put any money on my books but they did take my old lady away,HA! I do try and listen to them and try and tell them its not all GROOVY on the Iron Horse and it almost like you put a target on your back these days??? OK I got your info wrong,va medical center,what away to spend the day ! I have to go to the clarksburg VA every 3 months for mental and see my reg va doctor for blood work and all that crap and to check my sugar and blood presure.They did have me on all kinds of meds but iam down to just Zolpidem to sleep or as the real name is ambien . I rode in the early 60's and up to the early 2002 and then laid low.My dad and uncles rode in the 40's and it was kinda in the blood from the get go.
rode in LA Calif alot and Riverside ca,Orange county ca,San Berdo ca,Cottowood AZ, Salem or, wash State, and so many other places. and when I snaped and was placed in the VA Medical hospital in California and then I found me a place in the hills of WV and have not showen my old bald short ass in years, Got a few hundred tats from all over ! even got some in long beach ca at the old park at pacific ocean park or as we called it Pike and at the bottom of them steps was a tat shop and then there was the old roller coster and all that good stuff.So many memories at the old hot springs in the hills everygreen park for some rallys and just all the tweak shit and everywhere one went the cops were in the trees and in man holes.back then all we did was pot,cross tops and dexie speed and hash !! went to alot of concerts and even more bars and held our own parties in fields away from all but yet they seemed to want to join the party and most the time a fight broke out over a women and other dumb crap.
I have been clean for 10 years now and enjoy whats left of my time here on earth, and the only church I go to now is one where GOD is at and not man made rules.Iam only a member of the VVA veterans of America and have no ties to no one and yes I still have a loyal past to brothers. But now God and my Family come first and my only dues I pay is to the VVA and to my church !! But it is good to talk with you and maybe some day down the road we can send pics of us and our loved ones when a trust is there ! So till then you be safe and keep strong.

hey Kim and Crystal I got a few things about the life style of some and most bikers eather they be 1% or a group of men who ride bikes and enjoy this life style. Most of us do not get along with most of the public and there Phony ways and dont like to be owned by any job as a 9-5 person for the most part so we do tats and work on bikes and other stuff for funds, and a few do go over board and it makes us look bad and the press and others point this out,Not much said about the good things and we do love our family wives and kids !!
But the way we live makes women and others want to sample it for a few days and then want to go home when we just get started to PARTY.every man and women has there way to party . women like the bad boy thing and the feel of that harley between there legs and the power and crazy things that happen. if your not ready to do stuff and really party then stay away, what happens is that 99% of the time the women get caught by her so called husband or boyfriend and they cry foul or they do stuff while drunk our what ever and then feel ashamed and then run there mouths. And lets be real about all this crap,OK!! you all know that when the party starts women take off there tops and enjoy who ever it is that is on them eather it be one man or the same sex. nothing has changed from when I was riding back in the 60's and never will!
most bikers can be your best friend our your worst enemy !! whats real also is we wear what we are on our sleves and dont hide behind closed doors and act like we are the all american white boy when we are all freaks inside!!
