Dear American Taxpayer

For only the second time in my adult life, I am not ashamed of my country. I want to thank the hard working American people for paying $242 thousand dollars for my vacation in Spain . My daughter Sasha, several long-time family friends, my personal staff and various guests had a wonderful time. Honestly, you just haven't lived until you have stayed in a $2,500.00 per night suite at a 5-Star luxury hotel. Thank you also for the use of Air Force 2 and the 70 Secret Service personnel who tagged along to be sure we were safe and cared for at all times.

Air Force 2 only used 47,500 gallons of jet fuel for this trip and carbon emissions were a mere 1,031 tons of CO2. These are only rough estimates, but they are close. That's quite a carbon footprint as my good friend Al Gore would say, so we must ask the American citizens to drive smaller, more fuel efficient cars and drive less too, so we can lessen our combined carbon footprint.

I know times are hard and millions of you are struggling to put food on the table and trying to make ends meet. I do appreciate your sacrifice and do hope you find work soon. I was really exhausted after Barack took our family on a luxury vacation in Maine a few weeks ago. I just had to get away for a few days.

Cordially,

Michelle (Moochelle) Obama

P.S. Thank you as well for the $2 BILLION trip to India! Love ya, mean it.

The USAF maintains a HUGE fleet of corporate-type jets for use by key members of Congress, diplomats, cabinet members and aides, department heads and military flag officers. While the two Boeing 747-200B aircraft, which carry the tail codes 28000 and 29000 (the Air Force designation for the aircraft is VC-25A) gets all the media attention, it isn't used nearly as much as the others are.

The Air Force NEVER discloses how much 28000 and 29000 costs, the same as the SS NEVER discloses how many agents are assigned to the first family or others, nor does the White House EVER disclose how much a Presidential trip costs IF on official business.

One thing's for sure, however, government, from Hiawassee to Washington, likes to live large on the taxpayer's dollar.

I soooo agree with you. Just saw a report last night on how much congressmen and women spend in increasing their aides wages each year. Absolutely sickening. Just one of thousands of examples. What a waste!

I am so disgusted with government and politics. The system is broken and needs to be fixed.

Tell 'em that when the next election cycle rolls around, they'll listen (or you'll think they are), completely agree with you, promise to do something about it (but you'll have to vote for them, of course) then after the election forget all about you (us) and go back to lavish living as usual (on the taxpayer's buck) the same as they always have.

So any of them, from the ones in Hiawassee to those in D.C., respect, and it's the same as giving them a license to pick your pocket.

When they're wanting your vote, they're actually telling you to go to hell, and there are so many that look forward to the trip.

But you said not a word about the cost of trips for the Bushes. Did you even look those figures up?

I'd consider you more sincere if it weren't for this glaring inconsistency.

They all do it. If you've ever seen Air Force 1 taxi up, you know how impressive it is and if you've ever met a president, you know how big their ego is and why it takes a 747 to haul 'em around.

This is just an example of the sense of entitlement and arrogance this family has.

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Leo

Don't be afraid to voice your opinions today, even if you suspect that they aren't what everyone is expecting to hear. It's important to speak your mind, and there's no need to worry about treading on anyone's toes or sounding outrageous because that isn't very likely at all. If you're talking to someone, your conversation may take an unconventional turn that you weren't expecting.
